Re: Respiration On Plate Helm
I quite like Vanilla Enchanting... to me, it feels like a "tier 1" enchanting. I mean, until you get access to steel, you often use diamond weapons that you can then enchant. Moreover, when you finally get yourself the Infernal Enchanter you are able to re-use those bookshelves. And it som...

Re: questions about vine traps
Maybe you can do some tiling by alternating between 2x2 vine traps squares and 2x2 solid blocks squares...
I'm currently farming vines to get myself a mob trap, so I couldn't test, but yeah, I think it should work nicely!

If using MCPatcher, make sure that Sargunster's addon is placed after BTW. This bug happened to me at some point!

wirer... are you aware that you just installed dozens of mods that aren't (probably) compatible with BTW at all?!
Moreover you're using MC 1.4.6, and it is *clearly stated* that this mod is for MC1.4.7... as well as BTW.

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week Of Jan 14th)
Ow, that looks really exciting! I don't know if it's too early to ask, but will you change things like the UI and the costs? The UI is really a mess, and the cost for the beacon is just nonsense - why would you bother wasting a diamond if you can use iron instead? Seriously Mojang. At least it coul...

Thank you for the update!
I absolutely love the sensor module :)
EDIT: just a little thing that came across my mind: can't you make it so that the filters' textures are read from terrain.png and use the glass pane's texture? I think you're doing somewhat the same with the sensors render. Thanks!

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of December 31st)
You know, as long as you go for a similar game (I should rather say, with the same key aspects) and that it works on Linux (oh forget this condition, if there is the need to, I'll buy myself a Windows comp' *sigh*), you can consider your project as "xou816's approved"! I almost consider yo...

Well, that's a good advice! Thank you!MoRmEnGiL wrote:When in doubt, surround your gearbox with glass, or some other non-flammable block (siding works well) to be safe. ;]
(oh and by the way I noticed some time later that the gearboxes had burnt, as there were missing planks on the floor just above the gearboxes)

Re: Having trouble with a gearbox...
There is a stoked fire but quite far away, and with a crucible over it. Moreover, there's as you can see stonebrick as well to protect the gearboxes... I'll try to move the gearbox a little further from the fire :) Thank you! EDIT: not so far in fact, I'll move the gearbox to see if it's better! htt...

[SOLVED] Having trouble with a gearbox...
Hello everyone,
I don't know why, but one of my gearboxes keeps breaking in my setup, although I can see nothing that could damage it (no fire).
Here is a small part of the setup:
What could be the problem?

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of December 31st)
I feel bad for you, man. Really, that's a sad thing getting disappointed and discouraged on a project you've been on for years. I don't what to say about this, since I didn't really followed all the BWF conflict, and as I'm not a native English speaker it's been quite hard to go through all the post...

Re: How to Correctly Install BTW v4.##+ for a Server [MC 1.4
Just a quick note about Roablin's problem (although it is old, it can still be useful): I guess he was running a Unix based system since I had the same "issue" on my Ubuntu computer. In fact it is not an issue; when you run the server .jar, it reads it as if you were in your home folder. T...

Re: Possible Steam Linux graphical glitch
I had some graphical glitches with MC in the past but since I updated to Ubuntu 12.04 the bug has gone (farewell!). I didn't use Steam though! It was really weird, something like multicolor triangle in the left bottom corner of the screen. At this time I had found a trick to make it less invasive: w...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of December 17th)
Just a little bit of news. Some of you may have seen Kahr, the author of MCPatcher, pop up in the MCF btw thread the other days asking for a hook for stoked fire. I took care of that earlier today, refactoring the stoked fire code to take into account variable texture sizes, and sent him along an a...
