Sweet tears of frustration.

Post by Panda »

So today i led my girlfriend through the btw tech tree and her own fresh world, took 5 hours, she finally made her first anvil, got her sticks abd iron ready to make a mattock and.... i told her she needed steel and hafts... oh the tears of frustration and sadness that came next, "Why's it have to be soo hard!!". Hehe it was great and hard to stop from laughing. : )

Lol btw made my girlfriend cry. : )

I'm not sure how I feel. Should I laugh or scold you?
Hehe once she gets those refined tools she'll be boss.
Too bad you didn't have a camera...

Laugh, and laud her. All of us must go through that painful initiation. I am one of the odd few that has done extensive research before plunging through the tech tree. I know the basic pitfalls to avoid, but I am /sure/ there will be little things and details no one has ever thought to talk about that I will find.

And I'm doing it all on youtube so everyone will see :P

That's alright. The first time I tried to craft the axles, it took me about 15 minutes of failed attempts until I finally gave up, went to the internet, and found out the recipe is actually vertical. Oh, the dark days.

It actually was vertical for a while, then it was changed because it's much more intuitive as a horizontal recipe

Indeed, darn young whippersnappers and their new danfangled toys. Tanned Leather? Bah, in my day we had to throw dung and we were happy with it!

Luckily the detector rails are still in (you gave me a scare, I had to check the wiki) but yeah, now we just trap souls in jars instead of using them for our glorious infrastructure. Ah, you went so fast you could just scream (or someone could at least).
