Wolves not producing dung?

I have tried for quite a while now to get wolves to produce dung. I keep feeding them chicken (can't get that anymore, but off the topic), but they don't produce any dung. I've tried letting them sit around in nighttime, I've tried feeding them different meats, (not porkchops though, can't find pigs on my world). But they still won't produce meat.
