I guess that would be a good idea, but some of the config files are not on the config folder, like BTW config, so don't forget those

Yeah, I considered that, and I put them in the download too. Here's the config stuff. If you download all the mods I listed and then apply those config files, it should work.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25139867/config%20stuff.zip

As for rules...

1: Play offline always. It would be an absolute pain if only one member of the succession game could make wolves move around, and this way we avoid this multiple-username bug in doggy talents I haven't been able to fix yet. It's completely baffling. Basically, we all play offline, and so all wolves and dogs will obey all members of the succession game.

2: No cheating, I think I don't need to elaborate this point further.

3: Document your turn in picture-text format, similar to this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25139867/Minecr ... 20part%201

Two things in particular are up for discussion:

1: how long each turn lasts
2: Whether or not we use limited lives, and how many.

I like doing limited lives succession games, it keeps things interesting. However, if you don't like that Idea, that's fine by me, but I would like something in it to keep us from becoming complacent. Any ideas?

I believe Rei's minimap works with forge at least. I can't say for the other mods.

Can you do me a huge favor, and check the block ID numbers (or maybe redo and track record what you did you each conflict in ID resolver)?

How can you force yourself to be in offline mode?

1: I am thinking two real days or so.
2: I don't personally do not like the idea of limited lives.
3: How about the spawn rates for the Mo' Creatures, should they also be a set rate?
4: How about a set end goal? I'm thinking full automation of everything, but whatever the group thinks.

Alright, limited lives is out then.

Yeah, I'm thinking the spawn rates for the predators should be increased up the ass, considering how the new spawn system kinda ruins them otherwise. The rest of the spawn rates should be kept the same.

I'm thinking we'd all play on the same difficulty, and if it's below hard mode, we'd change the settings so everything that normally spawns on hard would spawn on that difficulty.

As for forcing yourself to play offline, simply cut your internet access right before you play. I guess it's easier to do on laptops, but it shouldn't be too hard to do on a desktop computer.

How does normal difficulty sound? If that's okay, I think I can start my turn tomorrow!

I prefer hard tbh... much more exciting :p But the life limit thing... losing your game permanently because you died.... not so exciting...

Btw, to play offline just try to login with a wrong password first...

alright, hard sounds fine. So then, no need to change settings, except to max out hunter mob spawn rates. Two-RL-day-long turns, the block ID configurations I gave you guys, looks like we're good to go! I'll start my turn later today!

Also, anybody else who wants to join is free to do so.

it's a PDF. Basically, just write down what happens, with pictures if you like, and put it in a picture file.

I've started my turn. Looks like mo' creatures sets the spawn system to the 1.7.3 style by default. As cool as that is, it causes dogs to despawn if you get too far away, because my mod assumes the entityanimal class remains unmodded. the next update will fix that issue, but for now, you need to set "pre-spawn biome" to yes in the mo' creatures options. This is absolutely essential.

I'll post the report for day one when I'm finished.

I was playing a few weeks ago with mo' creatures.... I'm inside my house, smelting some stuff, when all of a sudden this ogre starts destroying my wall, breaks like three IC² machines before I can kill it... Anyway, it seems like the monsters can see through walls, and considering the ogres can destroy anything you make :P You know anything about that? Seem a little unfair..

If they can SEE you through walls, they can TARGET you through walls. Sounds like we could set up some well-trained guard dogs to kill the bastards before they get close to us. Dogs can be set to auto-target anything that is targeting you.
