@TSA

its because FC changed the chainmail texture to be drawn from btwmodtex

just copy the chain1 and chain2.png from armor to btwmodtex.

I miss this tp >...>

I've tried about 6 different packs and instantly deleted them all. Cept this one ): I loved using it!

Yeah this happens to be my favorite one, it's just a great texture pack.

I hate to necro but I want to revive this pack, and I already have it working for personal use, but would it be something I would have to re-gather the permissions for to continue or what? I really don't know I am new to this whole texture managing thing, and I really don't know how the permissions work. I sent Batto a PM a few days back when I started the work, and I heard nothing from him. Not sure if he even checks his PMs, so I am kinda stuck as to what I can do, and should do.

Keep in mind my version is lacking some textures, and I still have to add them so it isn't quite done yet. But I will be finishing it.

Sooooo, hi :)

If you want a taste of nostalgia, I finally updated this TP to the latest BTW version.
It's not perfect, I did it on and off over the course of a couple years while facing several technical issues (power surge killed my pc last year, and I dropped a hard drive like a morron, lost a lot of data, so I had to re-do things many times) so I missed some for sure.
(I know there's an issue with the 2nd and 3rd strata stone texture btw, not sure why)


I'm currently playing a bit of BTW so I'll slowly get to see what mistakes are still to be fixed, but if you do use it please let me know of any problems you see!


It still relies too much on Mesh's and dawn's amazing work for most textures that were added after this pack was last updated, so if you like this TP pack, it's thanks to them and many others !

I also added the somewhat-coherent textures I was using when playing with the Deco and Better Terrain addon from the last time I played a few years ago, it's definitely not up-to-date and would require some additional work to be used, but it's included so you have somewhere to start if you feel like it.

Also I don't have cool builds to make screenshots since I lost most of my worlds, so if you post cool stuff I'll add them to the 1st post of this thread :)

Well as long as I don't find another game that is so perfect, I'll keep coming back, getting that itch every couple of years or so :D
(Rimworld, Factorio and Oxygen Not Included also come back pretty often, but never as long as BTW)
I felt the urge to check what was going on! I noticed a lot of the stone textures are just misnamed, Since I was working on adding stratified sub blocks last month I'm still fresh on all the ins and outs of the stone blocks. If you like I can look for the right order of them :)

Also noticed the pack is saved inside a folder, so when people download the zip, they have to make a new zip moving the sub files before they can actually use the textures :P

You honor me too much my friend! Lovely to have you back, and even more lovely to see this work continued. I think that is all I needed to get me back rolling into BTW again. Guess we will see how many times I die tonight. ;)

I will try and remember to grab assorted screenshots as I play. I typically record my game footage anyway. So we should have some content soon!

Glad it's tempting you to come back to BTW :D

Version 2.04 is out, all the stone and wood textures should be working properly !
Also tweaked the loose dirt texture a bit.
Thanks to dawn, Sock and FriedYeti for sending me their world and help me test some things out !

Editing this to avoid spamming too much :

2.05 fixes lilly pads, snow on dirt slabs and a few pixels off in some GUIs :

Tiny update with minor fixes, and enabled deco/BTA's textures by default, no extra work needed anymore.
Deco's textures are mostly from dawn's Conquest, will update over time when I start using them IG a bit ;)
