Ladders in villages don't seem to fit with new ladder recipe
The amount of ladders you can potentially get (4 from the 5x5 buildings with fences on roof and 9 from the chapels) from any village doesn't fit into the (semi)-abandoned state as well as is quite the "reward" compared to the cost of crafting them early game.

Well, I actually intended it as the "loot" of abandoned villages, as I don't like having POIs that are completely devoid of any "ooo... a foo!" factor when you spot them on the horizon.
Same could be said of the bones in abandoned temples, but again, intentional. The trick here IMO is to have loot in the initial HC spawn radius that is valuable early game, and outside have what is valuable late game, to try and keep POIs interesting throughout as much of the game as possible.
I think both ladders and bones fit that well. Is what your saying something beyond that? Is there something in particular about ladders I hadn't considered?

No, it just seemed like a very nice bonus gift and wasn't sure if that was intended or overlooked.
