Looks kind of neat, the cutaway hull is a new idea. Kind of worried about the physics from the video and scripting.
I just want the sext SH3, have to keep up hope!
UBOOT - A subsim due in 2017 (Please don't be junk!)

Very distinct This War of Mine vibe. Super excited about that.
Looks to take the right angle at least to subsim. We'll have to wait and see.

Not every simulation needs to be realistic, you could simulate the feel of being in charge of a sub, which is what they're doing. For example, I think This War of Mine is a waaaaaay better simulation of war than CoD.MoRmEnGiL wrote:Simulation my ass :P

Yeah on the simulation side some restrictions will be needed.
My hope is that having all the components the certain features can be tweaked to feel like you are actually in the sub.
SH3-5 did have 'realism' settings that at their max kept you first person.
The limitation I see here is relaying the component information away from the cutout but that could just be done on a diagam ect.
It might be extra erie in the rising water under red lights or dark diving while leaking.
Even if the final product is kind of close the subsim forum guys make it a labor of love to mod from there.
