i'm having this crash as of late
i am using 1.5.1 as well as only btw and mod loader

Edit2: okay it crashes whenever i get an achievement, but not every acheivement

Installation method (manual vs MCPatcher or similar)? If MCPatcher, which options do you have enabled?

Try a clean manual install on a clean .jar and see if it still happens. Might just be that your install has become corrupt with time. If this were a bug with the mod, I'm sure we would have seen other reports of it by now.

allright i'll try re-installing ml and btw from a clean jar, out of curiosity could a third party program cause conflicts with your mod? (invedit *shame*)
Edit:that's not it, because i got the same error from a clean install; it only happens on certain acheivements (getting wood, hot topic etc.)
also i didn't use a 3rd party inventory editor this time round


edit2: Manual Install; i've done this numerous times i doubt my installation of BTW is flawed

If "getting wood" caused it, then we'd have bug reports up the wazoo. I also would have seen it myself.

If you did a *completely* fresh install (brand new .jar included), then I'm out of ideas.

like i stated in my third edit, only thing i can think of is that i have the wrong Mod Loader installed (unfortunately i don't seem to be able to find an alternate to the one i have).
edit: i completely erased the minecraft folder associated with my BTW batch file. so clean it's not even funny.

Only other thing I can think of is messing up the install order. Obviously, ML needs to be installed first, BTW second.

Welp, I checked out the code your bug log refers to, and traced back through the call stack, and there's definitely something fishy with your install as there's no way a null pointer exception should be triggered there.

I also just triggered the getting wood achievement for myself to make sure I wasn't missing something, and it worked just fine.

So no idea what you're doing differently with your install man, but something is definitely off there. I'll leave it to others to try and help you out further in determining what that is, as I've already spent an excessive amount of time on this.

i got a mod loader variant from the minecraft forums; not sure if the person directed me to the 1.5.2 version or screwed up the version
my btw install is the exact same everyone else is using
i've checked risugami's archives for a 1.5.1 version of modloader to no avail.
honestly it's the only thing i can think of since i did everything else as i was supposed to.

Use the thread about downgrading MC (at bottom of my post). You'll notice it has a link to where Risu keeps the 1.5.1 version of ML. It also tells you how to get ML for other versions using Risu's dropbox.

The bit you're looking for is in the OP, and under the bit in bold "Old Modloader Versions".
Can't blame it on the wrong Modloader now ;). Try that. If it's still broke, and you are manually installing it and BTW (and you have downloaded BTW from the link here or the link on MCF, not anywhere else) on a clean jar, then you must have pixies in your hardware.

Check out the thread on downgrading your version of MC in this sub-forum to find out how to get an actual version of Modloader instead of some crap someone hacked together.
