Is there a coming apocalypse I'm not aware about?

I can't find anything that sounds like it would relate to his statement in the news. Given the ambiguous nature of the message, I suspect his account may have been hacked.

Isn't the worst of that over? I realize the aftermath is nightmarish, but it seems like too local a phenomena to break out "the end is nigh" signage, and wouldn't warrant being so mysterious either.

Wow. I'm sorry. But I have to say how consistently amazing I find it that people can be so skeptical of mainstream media and then so credulous of some random guy on 4chan.

I just talked to Taleric off the forums and will be restoring his account after deleting the related messages at his request. He's been a constructive member of the community for years, and I sincerely doubt this will be happening again.

As an aside to everyone here: PLEASE don't bring politics onto these forums, especially since all hell is likely to be breaking loose in the US as the election approaches. I don't think the nation has been this divided in decades and that's obviously seeping out into the rest of the world as well.

I think we can enjoy the mod and each others company without bringing any of that into it, while we happily continue to be at each others throats everywhere else on the net ;)
