I skipped Starpoint 1 feeling very shaky on the reviews. I have been watching this one for a while and after I saved myself from X:Rebirth disappointment I feel Starpoint 2 is what X:R should have been.
Got a few hours into the game and it is already pretty deep. Trading and mining are up and functional. I was never one for cockpit style combat, no idea why, the EvE style outside the ship is what I love.
On my main rig the games runs well on near top visual setting, so many neat lighting, debris and overlay effects. Looks like plenty more is still to come, if this is your type of game I recommend grabbing it because it is already enjoyable at $24.99. If that is steep for you it is a must grab on sale.
