High efficiency recipe: gate, crafting table & painting

I hope i'm not asking a silly question here. Can someone please correct me if i'm mistaken? Wooden siding are supposed to be able to replace wood planks in crafting, right? But I can't seem to craft crafting table and fence gate using them though. I tried searching the wiki and can't seem to find the efficiency recipe for them there too.

I also just realized tonite when trying to craft a painting using wool, but ithe recipe also doesn't work.
Can anyone tell me if i'm doing it wrong?

Complete replacement was never the intention. There are high effeciency recipes for most wood crafting that is done in large quantities.

Fence gates do have a high efficiency recipe

And paintings didn't have their recipe changed. Notice how you have wool balls now instead of wool blocks. The painting recipe still needs wool blocks.

You have to craft the wool balls into wool blocks using blocks of wicker

Crafting tables do not have a high efficiency recipe, most likely because you will never need massive amounts of them.
