It takes some real skill to make an actually scary movie without any jumpscares at all...
There's a "making of" that shows how much work making that video took. It's insane.

Really cool vibe that video, not really scary though, not enough suspense for that. I do appreciate it didn't artificially create it with jumpscares.

It gave me some heavy Fatal Frame flashbacks, which made it scarier for me :P I wasn't able to finish that game. Played it a couple years ago.

Who would have known this would look so much better in 1080p XD
Although that ending scene would look awesome in 60 fps. Missed opportunity there :P

Doing some quick googling, it appears that the 35mm film had a playback rate of 24fps (16 frames a foot at 1.5 feet per second feed rate, also explains the cinematic 24 fps standard of the current day) since this was a restoration, or re-encoding you can see in the 'stats for nerds' on the video page that it also has a 24 fps playback. It's a shame, but it would most likely require interlacing frames or just redrawing the animations unfortunately.
