[32x] Conquest texture pack [BTW 4.89PHILLIP] (at last!)

I'm proud to present the magnificent Conquest texture pack for BTW!

You'll be needing to download the Conquest texture pack from here

Plus, MCPatcher (for CTM) which you'll find here

And finally this little download here (BTW 4.89PHILLIP)

Just place the files directly into your Conquest zip

Credit goes to Monsterfisher, the creator of the pack, and Johnsmith on whose work it is based on.
Plus a huge thanks to Rob and especially Ion for providing some wonderful textures that have gone into this.

Ha! Was just checking out this TP the other day and now here is support for it!

Very nice work Longlay, Ill be looking forward to take a crack at this when I have time, Conquest seemed like a very nice remix of John Smith and now I can try it full force, good work :)

nice Longlay, you did send me your work on the mcf forums but life and work prevented me to release my textures for BTW.

Wow. I think I love you. I was trying to create support for this pack for a month now. But I'm no artist. So all I was doing was copy/pasting textures together. lol Instant download when I get home.

Thanks! I am using this TP in my new world and love it!

Oh and you probably know this but the side's of logs when they are at 90 degrees are error messages.

In the spoiler is a link to the very little I've done in regards to making a BTW add-on for the Conquest Texture Pack. Take from it what you will. I don't even need any credit. But if the crap job I did helps in anyway, that's enough.

The reason it's not working properly, is because the .properties files were not renamed properly.

Rename:
\ctm\darkstone\block1.properties
and
\ctm\deepstone\block1.properties

To:
\ctm\darkstone\fcBlockStoneStrata_1.properties
and
\ctm\deepstone\fcBlockStoneStrata_2.properties
Respectively.

the problem lays on the conquest author and some strange rules of optifine ( conquest is made for use with optifine). just delete the properties for block 17 or if you have knowledge fix the issue.

Thanks for the feedback, glad you're all liking it.

The strata will be working for next release, thanks Rob for catching that. And as for the logs thing that was a problem that Monsterfisher solved, but in his 1.6.2 pack. However, some kind soul has updated the 1.5 pack with 1.6 textures; just waiting for Monsterfisher to upload it (though if you're really impatient look at the first post here)

@Rob: I will be looking at your work, and I will of course credit you for anything I pinch :)

@Ion: If I remember correctly you had some rather nice pillar textures done. Any chance I could pinch them too, you will be credited of course.

I can finally register to this forum to post the details. I've updated the pack since then to fix multiple bugs I introduced in the downgrade as well as updated it to the latest Conquest version 4.0.

Is it just me or did I miss a step? it might be with the new launcher, but when I download the 1.5.2 version of MP to use this texture pack, MP says it cannot find the proper bin. I assert this most likely to the layout change in the new launcher after 1.5.2 but I was wondering if there was a work around for this. I REALLY want to be able to use this texture pack but its just not working for me at the moment. I might just have to wait for an update or something.

some textures and fixes for the sic8 Conquest link and Longlay BTW Conquest textures.
it adds some CTM block.properties for white stone, cobble white stone that didn't work before and packed earth. found in the ctm/btw folder
also the fixes for cauldron, crucible and hopper. BEWARE those texture may be different from Longlay BTW release.
hopper, axle, pulley, gearbox and textures released by me so choose what you like.
also added some CTM fixes and eye candy for stone, stone brick, cobble stone ( the full block made my two slabs), mostly pedestals and columns.
if you want cobble stone fixes you need to delete some block 43 properties from the original Conquest BEWARE delete only those with metadata 3

if you want to have a CTM look for the top of the barrel make a properties file in the /ctm/wooden stuff folder of your Conquest texture pack and add this inside:
tiles=252-256
method=random

be sure to rename the 257 image as 256 as there is none ( was used for the top of the coal block)

Hrm... I've used Derivation and Pandoku, but I can't get this texture pack to work at all. It either doesn't show up at all on the TP list (extracted) or shows up and doesn't actually change any textures or UI (zipped)

Are you just straight using the BTW version? It is not standalone. You also need sic8's version of the pack itself for 1.5 which can be found earlier in the thread.

Hi guys,

Sorry for being non-present lately. I just got a new job so I'm rather occupied at the mo'.

However I would like to thank Ion, I've had a look at your additions and I will certainly be pinching some of them, credited, because they are excellent. And I'll look at getting some of the brilliant meta-textures available in survival.

I'll see what I can do this weekend, but it's my girlfriends b-day, so I may be preoccupied.

in the latest Conquest version monsterfisher has added a folder called debris that looks very good for block of flint. tell me know what you think about

You can change the texture of a block of flint to be different from bedrock? :/

That's pretty much a bug in BTW, no? I thought FC made so they always use the same texture?

Yeah, flint is now fixed to be the same as bedrock. However, I do really like the debris, and I'm working on it being white cobblestone.

Still chugging away on this, but time is limited. I'll keep yous posted
