Oh... when I first read your comment it didn't even occur to me that you were working on Khaos old addon... I'm an idiot.

Are there any block ID conflicts between our mods? Let me know if there are, so I'll see if I can find another IDs... Better to do that sooner then later, before more people install this...

Thanks, I'm happy someone is still playing with this :)

If anyone was wondering, I didn't update the version for a while not because I abandoned this mod, but because its still compatible, there was no need for new versions since the last release.

Never ever use ImageShack man, it's always been upfront about deleting your images after a while. I think Imgur promises never to delete a picture.

Imgur's the better option for image hosting - Dropbox temporarily blocks access to files they get too much traffic. While that probably won't happen on this forum, it's worth noting.

This add-on still functions (I think) on the newest BTW version: A2TimingRodentb.

I created new images for the recipes for Astrolabe, and they can be found here:

Ok, I see what the problem is. Dropbox changed how shared folders work, and I forgot to update the link. It's up now, sorry about that :P

I've updated the addon to be compatible with the latest BTW version, and I went ahead and fixed my disgusting lens models. They were terrible and made it impossible to create textures for the lens blocks, but the models are fixed and so this addon supports HD textures now.

And by the way, FC, I took some inspiration from your versioning system, I hope you don't mind :)

Hey, originaly I wanted to ask if there may be any incentive to move this mod in te thech tree to before steel. But then I read the opener again... and well:
jorgebonafe wrote:This addon for BTW allows you to calculate distances between any two points on the world, up to a precision of a couple of blocks, using the stars as reference. But this is not a magical machine that just spits out the numbers. You'll need to understand its function and spend some time making calculations. No complex mathematics required, when you understand how the machine works it should be simple to measure distances.

I'm going to take a page from FC's playbook here and leave to the player to figure out how to work with the Astrolabe. I'll explain the basic idea and leave the recipes.

The Overworld and Nether versions are both done, so I'm considering this addon finished. From now on I'm unlikely to change anything other then fixing bugs and updating to new versions of BTW.
So, there it goes. The reason I wanted the astrolab features earlier was for post nether world navigation, but it was never intended for that. So my bad.

I hope you forgive me for sharing this thought anyway :D
