I may be mistaken but I was looking at this all does and the "addonconfig.txt" contains the word "flint", however I can find no explanation as to what this option does.

Anybody know?

Having a quick peek at the source indicates that the 'addonconfig.txt' file is just a whitespace seperated list of the different addons that the user whishes to load from the DecoCraft Addon.

So in your specific case, I suppose the option would be; Only load the flint portion of the deco addon, if you wish to load all possible addons you could replace the text in the file with :

Code: Select all

HayBale Flowers Glass Clay ClaySubBlocks GlassColor ClayColor WhiteBrick Fruit Chairs Lanterns Diamondium Walls Flint
which is from the original source found here.

Sorry guys, I don't know if I'm gonna keep playing better than wolves. I used to play with my best friend but then I found out he was stealing money from me. I might get back into it after I settle into my next programming job, I feel like I need other people to play with tho.

This is 100% correct. If I remember correctly, the order of this matters too.
ion wrote:i'm getting an always crash with an auto flower farm. strangest thing is that i have another farm made more or less the same and i didn't had any problems.
Yeah that's weird, sorry about the late reply. In the world I used to play on, I had a gigantic flower farm. What are you doing to cause the crash? I don't have enough information. I can tell it has something to do with a container (like a chest or block dispenser) and that it has to do with rendering the flower itemstack. Are you opening a container then experiencing a crash?

EDIT: Maybe I'm going blind because I didn't see your edit. I can look into that problem

Can you tell me more about the clay stairs problem?

Does anyone have any difficulty playing the newest BTW version with the deco addon? For a minute I was getting a crash but now everything seems to be working.

Not sure if related, but the launcher appears to spaz out on occasion and cause BTW to crash during load, only to work fine the next time. This seems to happen more frequently if you use the game directory option for a profile.

I got a Java call stack and it was something like "field (maybe class) not found exception: 'border'"

I don't remember

Sorry to clutter your thread with talk of block IDs man. I moved those posts over to the appropriate thread in the feedback subforum.

Can anyone say with confidence that art deco is still OK with the latest BTW updates?

Absolute confidence, no, but I'm running it with current BTW and my old worlds still work fine, no bugs so far either.

Sorry I havent had time to update the addon for the new btw updates lately. I will be getting back into it soon. I just bought a house and I'm trying to remodel it in my free time, but as soon as I'm done I cant wait to get back on the BTW horse.

Im not surprised that Deco works with the updates, but I would be careful with that. My code could still override some of FCs new block behavior

Whoo! I plugged my machine in and got right back to programming.

I pushed a new update for the Block Id changes, you are safe to use Deco with BTW again.

Thanks for playing!

:(

If Yhetti doesn't respond before the next release, I can probably patch that in BTW itself by restoring a method he's calling there that I removed when changing around all the tool code.

Looks like he's trying to set the Hay Bayles so that axes will be effective to them by calling some code I've removed.

Yeah I noticed the same thing as Jorge.

I just got home from vacation and I really want to try the new update but haven't yet since I didn't want to lose all my deco blocks in my world.

Thanks FC for responding.

I just included the aforementioned work-around in the 'd' version available in the release thread. Please post here if someone tries it out to let me know if it worked.

Yhetti: When you next put out a release, can you get rid of any calls you make to ItemAxe.SetAllAxesToBeEffectiveVsBlock( Block block ) and instead call directly to block.SetAxesEffectiveOn( true ) ?

I removed that function because I no longer need to modify the ItemAxe class directly (none of the axes in the game even used the vanilla class anymore as I've replaced the entire existing tool system), so the above is the only thing stopping me from eliminating a base class edit right now.

Anyways, let me know if you get that done so I can remove it once again :)

Same exact thing? Can you post the error message? I only just need the one line that specifies the function.

All righty then. I'll restore all the related functions.

Yhetti, like with the above axe call, if you could get rid of all these calls so I can get rid of what is now a number of base class edits, I'd be much obliged :)

Hello everyone. Obviously I've been gone a while, but don't worry, I AM NOT DEAD AND I STILL WANNA PLAY BTW. I just got finished setting up my desk at my new house, I haven't really been able to write much code or play video games for the last two months, but that ends today. I will try to post an update this week!

There is a lot of good shit coming soon! People have been sending me code on GitHub, and I will be integrating it slowly.

I have missed a LOT of updates to BTW!! So I am excited to get things rolling again (I will be updating the code before I play, so that I can start a fresh world with deco)

THANK YOU EVERYONE for all the support and for keeping everything running while I was missing.
