Problem:
- after reloading the world, "fueled" time is incorrect (shorter)
Affects:
- singleplayer on reload, other cases unknown
How to reproduce:
- put 1 iron ore and 1 coal in the furnace
- wait a bit
- save and quit, load again
- wait: coal expires, iron isn't smelted

Re: Hardcore Smelt: reloading the world shortens fueled time
Could not reproduce.
Tried with two different furnaces with both gold and iron ores. Tried quitting and reloading both a short time after the smelting had started, and then waiting until the smelting was almost finished to test the fringe cases.
All tests produced a nugget as expected with a single unit of coal.
If there is something specific you are doing to create this situation, or if anyone else is able to reproduce this, let me know.
And please verify you aren't doing something like adding the coal first and then the ore, which will of course result in the ore not being smelted.

Bah... I do apologize, turned out I reported a bug in my own mod.
I changed the furnaces so that replacing the item that is currently smelting resets the progress, and so it reacted to world load as well.
Won't happen again.
P.S. On a side note, currently furnace progress jumps around if you swap raw pork/sand/ore.

Wasting my time chasing invalid bugs is one of the cardinal sins on this board man. Enjoy your vacation.
