Just a little question, if you don't mind me asking, how many more biomes from the original mod are left to be added to the BTW version?

Hello all!
I did some flying around in creative mode and got 57 various screen shots of some of the biomes. I tried for 3 different screen shots of each biome I found, plus what ever else I found interesting. Note that I not all of the biomes in the mod. Feel free to use them in anyway you so choose.

Wow! I'll admit, I was pretty damn eager to have a biome add-on for BTW, but for the BOP team to put out a version this fast is freaking awesome!
Thanks so much!

Holy mother of God...Can it be?

No more boring land generation due to BTW being incompatible with most things changing world generation? No more custom terrains needed? Hell yeah! This is awesome, and I'm gonna download it right now! Great add-on!

Which of these biomes generate vanilla structures such as villages and temples?

All biomes except the volcano currently have the potential for a village to spawn in them, temples on the other hand i havn't touched yet, so you'll just have to see how they pan out i'm afraid.

Not planning on adding porting over any more biomes currently. The prime purpose of this mod was to use all of the biomes from the Forge version that would still look/work well using only Vanilla blocks, and that has been done as far as i'm concerned. If in the future there are custom blocks from the Forge version added however, then that may change.

Updated the OP with some of Syruse's biome images. Still the odd few biomes that are still without images but it certainly should give a good idea of most of the biomes :)

Updated the OP with 0.0.3, which adjusts mob spawns in the Ominous Woods and hopefully fixes the bug with Ore Strata in the Volcano biome. Enjoy!

First of, thanks for giving us the opportunity to use Biomes O'Plenty with BtW. A change in scenery sounds tempting enough that I may in fact start a new world now. That having been said, I do have one question...
Adubbz wrote:If in the future there are custom blocks from the Forge version added however, then that may change.
What would the effect be on the world if more biomes were added at a later stage? I'm asking this as my current world dates from when BtW went multiplayer (bit earlier even, as it started as a vanilla world). As such, I am a bit worried about things that might affect the world in the long term.

i just have a little question, since which huts only spawn on swamp Biomes on vanilla, in what Bop Biomes is possible to find one? or they don't spawn in any yet?

So I did do a good enough job :)
I think I'll do some more flying around today and try and find the remainder of the biomes., if I can :P

Just spawned in a massive Volcano biome, and man is it pretty. I mean true, the only reason I made it out without dieing is that derpy cows like lava, and true my original spawn is now coated in lava but... :P

EDIT: Speaking of, I just died and respawned in a lava pit in another volcano biome. HCSpawn, why you hate me?

I think there might be a bug that causes volcano biomes to be the only one that is generated. I must have flown 1-2 km and it was nothing but volcano. Still happened when I used a seed.

I've definitely encountered others (there was a snowy biome next to the volcanoes near my spawn), although upon respawning I did encounter a seemingly never-ending volcano biome with the occasional river running through it.

Also, is anyone else finding that the world around you wont respond and in actuality it's glitched out and you have to quit to title screen and reload?

I made you a quick little trailer for the addon, showing off at least a couple of the biomes included - Feel free to use it any way you wish!

Aw hell, I wake up and check the forums 10 minutes before I leave to start my 4 days of hell with freight.....at least I have something to look forward to after unloading 8 trucks over the next few days lol.

On a side note, hardcore spawn has now been fully embraced by me thanks to this.

We'll see. I'm very much in support of a biome add-on designed for BTW, but given it seems to be a straight port, I am rather nervous that there will likely be significant balance issues involved. I'm not sure if the author is really interested in supporting this to the extent required to make sure that doesn't happen, or even sure if he plays btw.

When I'm trying to resolve nagging issues like the balance of swamps and jungles...well, like I said, something like this makes me rather nervous if it's not designed specifically with the mod in mind.
