Friendly Coop BTW Server !

We decided to start fresh with a brand new 'Custom' map.
We used BetterWorldGeneration Mod along with Better Than Wolves in the terrain generation process.
So we have a lot of nice features to discover...

serait il possible de reset ma position ou de me faire revenir au spawn au n'importe quoi d'autre qui puisse me decoincer ?

This sounds pretty sweet :) I've been looking for a small friendly BTW server to play on. Just curious but why no Hardcore Chests?

As far as I know, Hardcore chests only enables one shared ender chest on the server, meaning it would be a small capacity chest for everyone.
Since we want our players to be able to keep their most valuable items, we allow usage of non-hardcore ender chests.
That way the little diamonds you put in them will be only accessible by yourself.

Truth is, upon further research, I found that hardcore chests can't be disabled anymore.
It now works with hardcore beacons, you need an obsidian pyramid to place the ender chest on for it to work.

Then the following rules apply :
Chests placed on the first (3x3) tier access a shared inventory.
Chests placed on the second (5x5) tier access a second shared inventory.
Chests placed on the third (7x7) tier access a third shared inventory.
Chests placed on the fourth (9x9) tier access a private inventory.

So, it seems we'll need a huge obsidian pyramid..

* Ender Chests not placed on a beacon pyramid will simply act as normal (stronger) chests. *

I'd gladly join your server when I'll have some time! I'm getting bored of playing alone... :) I'm having trouble downloading 4.64 for the moment being, but later... I'd happily give your server a try!
By the way, I'm French but uh, I think I'll speak English, must train myself :) mais au cas où j'aurais un trou de mémoire en anglais, ça peut m'être utile :D

EDIT: had a look at the server and it looks nice and friendly! However I'm having internet connection issues at the moment in my country, so I'm quite unable to play atm. Looking forward to play once I'll have a stable connection!

I fixed the corrupted seed and removed some chunks that shouldn't have been generated with this new seed...

Regarding the closure, why not just implement a whitelist? Granted people can lie on a whitelist application, but people who just want to grief usually can't be bothered doing it and just go for an un-whitelisted server, like this one. By not having it, it just attracted more griefers and led to our current dilemma. If a whitelist were made it should dramatically reduce the number of griefers we get.

Also the rules need to be made more apparent. Most servers have rules on signs at the initial spawn point, but the spawn point on this server is empty desert, and I never was able to find them. To deal with that I just used common sense...ie, dont be a prick. However some people lack this common sense so the rules need to be very clear to them.


More importantly tho, what we have here (or had rather) is an active server. Getting an active server is *hard*, most of them are ghost towns. We shouldn't be wasting this :\

I Totally Agree with you, That's why I'll re-open it in about a week, the time to get all up and running with a whitelist, and find some people to help me manage it...

It's indeed really hard to manage, that's why most server won't last long, simply cause many players can't respect the server owners/admins and their hard work...
