Steam's Halloween sale is going on right now. Haven't gone looking into everything that's on sale, but one game I feel is of note:

Clandestine - 80% off down to $3.99. It's a stealth/hacking co-op game where one person plays the spy on the ground and the other plays the hacker supporting her, although it can be played singleplayer (which has you doing both roles). I wasn't able to finish it due to scheduling issues with my partner (DaveYanakov), but the handful of levels we did get through were fun.

Another one from the Halloween sale that might be worth a look is "Pathologic Classic HD", which is currently 90% off.

I'm downloading it as I write this, so I can't personally recommend it, but I saw it recently listed in a Rock, Paper, Shotgun article about the top survival games:

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2018/1 ... mes-on-pc/

As #6 out of 20, right after Don't Starve. Given it was one of the very few I hadn't played on the list, I figured it was worth checking out for around a buck.

They're giving away copies of Company Of Heroes 2 on Steam until December 10th. Can't speak for the game, but ... free.

Company of Heroes 2 is heavily invested in the ala carte model. The base game is basically multiplayer only with just a couple factions.

But yes, free.

Well, that sounds like a complete waste of a 25 Gig download. Thanks for the heads up Dave.

Soma is free on GOG. Very good game, imo. Not particularly scary, but has an amazing story.

I got into the first bit of it and loved the bit I played, but I ran into crippling performance issues, even on my 8700k + 1080ti. Any idea on a fix?

$2 for Aquaria

One of the best indie games of all time you've never played, by the guy that went on to make Spelunky

I remember playing that one back in 2007. It was great. One of the creators released recently-ish Night in the woods. A narrative focused game, almost a walking simulator in 2D. But still intereting if you like that kind pf thing.

Didn't now the other one was the maker of Spelunky.

Tomb Raider currently free on Steam, highly recommended.

Also given recent events, just a reminder that I still have a bunch of keys to give away (one per person and regular members only):

Cities: Skylines is $1US on Humble Bundle atm. Higher tiers will give you some DLC at a massively reduced cost (and from what I understand the base game is a bit lacking without the DLC).
