I feel it's also worth mentioning, if you haven't tried it yet, Bionic Dues is kind of old by now, but I finally dug it out of my backlog and I think it's right up the BTW player's alley.

Papers, Please is currently 80% off for 48 hours. If you haven't played it, it's an amazing experience.

I concur on Paper's Please being pretty great. It's certainly a little weird but a lot of fun. My roommate shared his steam library so I played it through that but I may have to buy it for myself with it being on sale. Steam's handling of sharing games is pretty clunky.

Elite Dangerous for 70% off and the DLC 50%.

I held off forever before trying this out. Three hours play and it is pretty tight! The optimization felt good. Visuals and sounds were very enjoyable. You have such control over your craft that it will take time to learn all the controls and make your own play style. Universe felt alive and plenty of activity options.

A great trader pirate, explorer, taxi space game with good depth and feel IMO.

Transport Fever 40% off

Still a bit high unless logistics games are your thing. I got my money's worth in play hours beating all the difficulties and enjoying the "skirmish".

It is a transport sim that starts in 1800's - 2000's. Around 100 vehicles and 15 commodities plus people to move.

The map layout is from sky high to zoom in to people level seamlessly. The vehicles are beautifully modeled. The towns/cities grow organically, reacting to the volume of goods and people your transport supplies.

There is some learning cure about station capture areas, logistic chain logic and delayed reaction to available transport. Overall an incredibly relaxing and satisfying transport building game.

Darkwood is 30% off on Steam right now. I picked it up the last time it was on sale, and it's an awesome survival horror game, that's heavy on the survival elements.

Just a quick note, Slay the Spire is on sale and usually I don't buy early access games, nor games that are not heavily discounted, but by god is this game amazing and addicting. It's a mix of deck building and roguelike dungeon runs, where combat is handled by playing cards. I just can't put it down!

Crusader Kings II seems to be free on Steam right now. As in, free permanent copies of the game, not just a free weekend.

That sounds familiar... First one's free... Next thing you know you're selling your body on the street to pick up another piece of DLC

If you're into crack, The Long Dark is also 75% off, and Steam says I've only spent around 300 hours of my life on that one :P

To be fair I often leave the game on when my wife is like "Let's eat dinner" or "Wanna watch a show?" so it's quite possible my actual play time is much closer to yours. :)

I've enjoyed many of the games on the current Humble Strategy Bundle and Endless Space 1 was my first introduction to the 4x genre:
