Windmill not spinning or providing power

I'm currently running BTW 4.34 on MC 1.4.2. I've noticed that my original windmill in the Overworld is no longer providing power to my millstones. In fact, the windmill doesn't seem to be spinning at all.

I've also noticed that I can't synthesize redstone from gold ingots and concentrated hellfire in a stoked crucible. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

And just as a note, I tried doing a clean install, and I still seem to be having these issues.

Is any mechanical power being produced? It could just be a graphical glitch.

No mechanical power is being produced by the windmill.

I do have a water wheel that is working fine though.


Also, as for the redstone synthesis. I moved my crucible to be right next to the bellows and now it works fine. I really thought you could have it up to 3 blocks in front of it.

Has a gearbox been broken form a rain storm?
Or a gearbox missing/turned someplace in the line of power?
And breaking it and replacing the windmill doesn't do anything?

You likely have something over your Wind Mill that's blocking its "view" of the sky. This is how the Wind Mill determines if the is any wind blowing in its vicinity.

ok, this is just weird. I took to the windmill and moved it and it worked fine. So I went back to the original structure and replaced it, but it was still not working. I checked above it to ensure there was nothing blocking its view of the sky, but nothing was there. Finally, I thought I'll just try breaking the axle and try replacing it. And wouldn't you know if works again.
