Better Than Multiplay Server

Better Than Multiplay is an anarchy server with a twist! There is no PvP damage! That's right, no PvP - at least not directly! Rig up traps, lure the local wildlife, there are plenty of ways to indirectly kill someone, if you have the skill and initaitive! The server can only support 8 people at one time for the moment, due to cost restraints, but if I figure it out people with multiplay accounts will be able to chip in, expanding the player-limit.

There is a whitelist, and anyone caught using x-rays will be banned/un-whitelisted. That said, have fun and enjoy! Post your ingame name here to be whitelisted.

EDIT: One final thing, Harcore Buckets is ON.

EDIT 2: Because I'm new to multiplay I have no idea how to update the server, so it's on 4.10. BUT it does work with versons up to the latest.

Where is the Server, geograpgically?

To update, start with a vanilla install of the most recent version of Minecraft. Get a copy of minecraft_server.jar and follow the instructions to patch it to Better Than Wolves.

Then you'll need to FTP into your server (you can use FileZilla or something). Go to "View FTP Details" under "Quick Links" on ClanForge to get the host, username, and password. Leave the port blank. From there go into minecraft/beta/... and replace the minecraft_server.jar with your patched version and upload BTWConfig.txt.

Edit: I just submitted a ticket requesting that they update the BTW mod they have on file, so if something is done about that shortly, you may just be able to create and apply a new profile to get the latest version of the mod (which is preferable because the method I detailed will auto-update to the newest version of Minecraft when it updates, which overwrites the BTW install).
