I found the problem. Terrain Control overwrites a change that Modloader makes to the WorldType class. AFAIK, there's no way for me to work around it without directly modding base classes, so I sent the creator of Terrain Control a PM about it. It's an extremely minor change (one of the constructors needs to be changed from private to public).StormBeforeDawn wrote:Yup, doesn't like terrain control.

Re: Sargunster's BTW Addon [v2.1 for MC1.2.5 and BTW3.72]
This is a great addon, I love it
The fruit/juice is well programmed and original
The color sensor is very useful as well as the chisel
An the new boats feature is just flat out awesome
Might I suggest the Steel boats also useable but maybe carry heavier things? Would be great for nether
That and/or a motor made of steel? EDIT: motor not really fitting btw theme, nvm
And 1 question, can hoppers put things in chest boats?

Nope, I would need to edit the hopper code for that to work. Glad you like the mod though!Twololcats wrote:And 1 question, can hoppers put things in chest boats?

Well it could work if you could fit a windmill on a big boat and somehow set up a propeller with mechanical power :DTwololcats wrote:...

Or driving with waterwheels. Or the things the waterwheel is made of (can't remember the name)

I absolutely LOVE the boats, man. Such a simple little idea, but you executed it perfectly. I'm building docks and starting to look at my rivers and oceans in a new way - big resource gathering expeditions to distant biomes are now much more possible.
I haven't played with the other portions of the mod - I don't want to spoil myself with something I have to sacrifice later for block IDs, but great work on the boats, and I have to say the rest of the mod looks pretty cool as well.

Could someone confirm that everything is working with BTW 3.80? I don't have enough time to test right now.
It should be possible, I'll keep in mind for the future. I probably won't add any more content until after the 1.3 update though.Gargantuan_Penguin wrote:Would planter boats be possible?

It works just fine and dandy with 3.8 man

The sturdy boats at least work with 3.90

Awesome mod, I really like farming in Minecraft, so, now I'm gonna make some juice I suppose!
Boats are really cool, and very useful too, now.
However, could you make them so that the "walls" between each boat is made invisible? To look more like one boat.
Great job!

Love your mod <3.
Feels very much like part of BTW. I think the color sensor is brilliant.
Is there any reason why you chose to use a green color sensor instead of yellow?

I'm going to go with the fact that the 3 colors of light are red, green, and blue, which ties in more to sensors.Azdoine wrote:Love your mod <3.

(the three main colors of pigment, or subtractive color mixing, are cyan, magenta, and yellow, along with black.)
Weird to think of it that way, i know, but if you take a couple flashlights and some tinted lenses or just make some with cellophane and dry erase markers, you can try it for yourself. where two different lights combine, they make a new color, and if you combine all 3, they make white light.

I was aware of this, but Red, Blue, and Yellow are the 3 primary colors.Psion wrote:I'm going to go with the fact that the 3 colors of light are red, green, and blue, which ties in more to sensors.Azdoine wrote:Love your mod <3.

It just feels more intuitve for activating multiple sensors with the same color.
Guess I just think differently.

People used to doing computer graphics are usually more used to RGB.Azdoine wrote:I was aware of this, but Red, Blue, and Yellow are the 3 primary colors.

I think the original reason for this was that green phosphor was cheaper than yellow when making CRTs, but I could be wrong there.
Re: Sargunster's BTW Addon [v2.1 for MC1.2.5 and BTW3.80]
Rgb is primary when mixing light. Ryb is primary when mixing paint.
Re: Sargunster's BTW Addon [v2.1 for MC1.2.5 and BTW3.80]
Good point. Seeing as we're using light sensors, I guess it's justified.johnt wrote:Rgb is primary when mixing light. Ryb is primary when mixing paint.
But then again, if the red color sensor has red glass (which should reflect light), how is it that only the red light passes through and activates the sensor?
Re: Sargunster's BTW Addon [v2.1 for MC1.2.5 and BTW3.80]
What do you mean with that it should reflect light? Red glass absorbs green and blue ligth. Red light cross through it as if it was transparent air. thats why you see it red.Azdoine wrote:Good point. Most objects reflect a certain color, and that color hits the eyes, making you see that color.Niyu wrote: What do you mean with that it should reflect light? Red glass absorbs green and blue ligth. Red light cross through it as if it was transparent air. thats why you see it red.
I suppose that glass works differently.
I really need to study up on my optics.
Re: Sargunster's BTW Addon [v2.1 for MC1.2.5 and BTW3.80]
The diference is that glass is transparent. It doesn't reflect ligth it lets the light go through it. If glass was opaque it would reflect light.Azdoine wrote:

Exactly how do the sails on Sturdy Boats work? Do they allow you to reach a higher speed, or are they required to help push the boat after a certain number of boats are stuck together? Aaand, finally, do you have any plans to add furnace boats or are you operating on logic that the furnace would burn the boat and so that wouldn't be possible? Loving the addon, btw. Automating a fruit farm was pretty tricky, but I managed to finally find a way to collect and sort fruits from wood and saplings. Still haven't found a way to perfectly sort out each type of fruit so that I can fully automate the juice process from tree to Juice container.
