I haven't figured out the cause, but I'm about 90% sure it won't happen in the next release. It either had something to do with them not moving, or when they collided with a tile entity. Anyway, I wanted to wait and put out 0.5 with some new content, but RL is getting in the way. I think I'll just put out 0.4.5 with this fix and a few others as soon as I can.

Would it be possible to add glow stone slabs or something along those lines?

New release out, just some bug fixes in this one, time has been a factor. I wanted to wait and release some new content in 0.5.0 but RL is a cruel mistress.

Changelog:
- Fixed black hole bug finally. Extensively tested this time so I'm 90% sure it's gone. Consequently, the butterflies will no longer park at flowers but will hang around them, similar to how bees hang around honeysuckle and hives
- Fireflies no longer drop XP (it looked weird when the dragon orbs dropped from them IMO)
- Butterflies should no longer despawn
- Firefly Lanterns now have an animated texture :)
- Changed some textures (bee item, firefly item, cherry blossom sapling, beeswax, honeycomb)
- Fireflies no longer spawn in ice, desert, or mushroom biomes

A few notes -
@HavokSCOUT: I tried out the bees spawning hives on cherry blossom leaves, and I just don't like it. It doesn't quite feel right to me. So sorry, but I won't be changing this.

@Texture pack artists: You can make the firefly lantern animation as many frames as you want. :)

About the butterflies: Please report if you run into the black hole issue that was happening before. I've tested pretty thoroughly and it hasn't happened yet, but it seems like everytime I put out a release thinking the problem is gone it just comes right back haha.

Hmmm... I don't really think that's something I'd be interested in adding. Sorry :(

I'll definitely keep an eye on this. Probably won't use it until I can add support for it in my TP though, but still, great work! :)

Hehe. Thanks for pointing this one out - I haven't found a mushroom biome in my main world, so I hadn't really tested that.

Awesome mod Kaos, just wanted to say that again. It's going to be so helpful in pimping out the castle I'm building in my LP world :)

I had a suggestion, but I suspect it's not nearly as easy as I initially suspected. I was going to suggest making chairs have a tile entity and have that tile entity be mountable (so you could sit in them), but it seems that tile entities share no relation or class extension with regular entities, so that wouldn't be quite as easy as I had suspected.

So I have another thought...

Why not add chain blocks?

You could hang them from the ceiling, and then put chandeliers at the bottom, in case you want to use chandeliers in high-ceiling rooms, or maybe just use them as decoration for a diabolical dungeon :)

Oh I thought about adding chains. In fact it was something I worked on for a while back when I added chandeliers. I wanted them to function like rope blocks, and for us to be able to have elevators that used them instead of ropes. There were some issues I had back then, but I definitely want to revisit the idea because it's something I would love to have in my worlds.

And being able to sit in chairs requires base class modifications (player entity related stuff). But I really don't see that as being an important feature anyway.

Yeah, I think it would make a great decoration, it has my vote :)

Yeah, I had suspected it would be like that. I can actually think of a way in which it could be done, but it's more trouble than it's worth imho :)

With MCPatcher? And it worked fine?

Try manually installing the mods one at a time, testing each time, until it gives you the error. Install my add-on last, so we can be sure the problem is (or isn't) with this add-on. If it turns out mine is causing the error I'll see what I can do.

Isn't it because there isn't enough item/block IDs to hold all of those things?
It says something about LWJGL, maybe you should try updating that?

I'm starting to lose my faith in automatic installers. First MultiMC glitches out with MCPatcher, now MCPatcher completely balls up installing the mod. Manually, everything was installed except for the MCPatcher stuff (Textures, fonts, and colors), and it worked fine. Weird.

EDIT: I found the problem. Installing everything through MCPatcher works, but when I switched from default texture to Pandoku, it displayed the same error. I'll try with another 32x pack to see if its just the pack that's causing it, or if it's specifically Pandoku.

EDIT EDIT: Eeyup, it's the 32x part that's crashing MC. I just tried with Tekei's. :( I was getting used to cool texture packs.

Kaos, how would that work without editing terrain generation?

It's going to be craftable (I was thinking some kind of anemone), and placing it underwater would cause it to spread different types of coral/seaweed/plants (it would only grow on dirt blocks so that it doesn't overpopulate your oceans). Similar to my flowers, each would function as a spawner and will spawn different types of fish and other wildlife. At least, I *think* that's how its going to work. I haven't gotten around to it yet, so it's subject to change.

This seems like a really awesome way to do it - As long as the spreading is automatic once started, it wont take much effort to fully enjoy the additions.

Of course it will be automatic, similar to vines. :)

Yup, my thoughts exactly.

News: I haven't really been able to work on anything lately, which is fine, since the extended block ID's seem to still be a long way off. But rest assured I will be updating at some point, I just want you guys to know I haven't disappeared. :)

Kaos, have you seen tropicraft? I love the mod, saw Direwolf's spotlight on it. I think that would be a good way to implement fish, after the coral. It may also help with some coding. I would be using it now, if it didn't need forge. :-(
