What do you do with your dogs/wolves?

Hey guys!

I sat down to play some Minecraft today, and as I was checking my room with my dogs/wolves, I thought to myself, "I wonder what other people do with their dogs/wolves?". Do you "pimp out" your dogs room, or do you shove your dogs into a dark basement?

(Oh, and by the way, this is in no way a serious question, just curious to see what kind of responses I'd get :D )

(Oh, and by the way [again], didn't know if you referred to them as dogs or wolves...so I added both!)

Well. I always take two dogs for mining with me, and put the other ones into own huts, feeding them pretty regulary.

At the moment, I've got my dogs sitting outside of my temporary hut. Once my mob farm is fully set up, I'll build them a dung farm and route the rotten flesh to them.

But anyway, I generally go for my standard toilet room. Wolves up on glass blocks floating high above a square room with water running from each wall causing all crap to flow into a hole in the center, which flows down into a hopper connected to either a chest (BTW) or pipes (BTB). The room is not decorated, it is a dark, dank it of despair, and the wolves are only fed select slices of zombie meat, because damn it, the beef is mine.

I used to try that. It soon became clear it wasn't possible, considering how they love to commit suicide, push you over cliffs, block your way out in small tunnels, etc... , they are way more dangerous to you then useful... I wonder how you manage to go mining with them? Please, teach me your wisdom..

I bread enough of them. So if they die, I will still have enough. And because they eat rotten meat, they automatically heal them selfs when killing zombies, so the only real reason to worry is lava.

Well, I used to have them in a corner of a room, being fed once in a while. But now, I have them in a different corner of a different room being fed slightly more often. Wait... now that I think about it, those 9 BDs were probably not worth it. (I'm kinda low on stuffs right now)

First I stuffed them inside my windmill, since it was the only building where I had room, and could make it dark. After a few "Creeper spawned in the wolf-room"-incidents, I pulled myself together and built a proper "house" for them, complete with all thinkable luxuries: Running water, (mechanical) power outlets and an automatic feeding system.

I have them in a sewer like area being fed by my cow and pig auto breeder that leads to hoppers and chests to collect the dung and the meat they dont eat. I do keep a few up top in case i want to go exploring and want to use their protection. Also have cats spread out to ward off the creepers.

I'm proud to say that I have a mixture going on currently. I have 2 dogs as my pets using Doggy Talents and I have 2 wolves underground producing for me. once I've teched up I'll move on to breeding puppies...which I'll place undergound :P Sorry Raust.

Normal vanilla dispensers as well - Just make sure to spit into a vertical shaft in order to not have the food fall off the little pedestal your wolf is on :)

Dank, dark, didn't even bother with an autofeeder. I've got a peculiar setup where the food flows freely behind them, the overflow ends up in the same hopper dung does.

Very hygienic, yes, I eat that.
