Yeah, achievements in BTW would be nice. but I'm pretty sure FC is already planning to add these.

Anyway, there should be achievements for:
-Making a companion cube
-Making a companion slab
-Creating a dung block
-Windmill
-Getting a Bloodwood sapling

-the industry way : making machines that can product several items at time. Would be detected by the apparition of several items of the same kind in a very short time. Multiple powerd mill, multiple turn tables, kiln, ect.
-the automation way : same thing, but items production happens when the player action or presence is clearly not involved.

It'd only require an API if he wanted his achievements not to overwrite/be overwritten by those of other mods, IIRC. I think he's waiting till he's got the new age more or less organised before adding achieves, since they'd most likely represent a player's progression through the mod.
