Well they are sold out, so however many tickets were sold + Mojang. ;)

Probably details of this on the Minecon site, or the Mandolay site.

It just says their sold out on the website, nothing about the amount of people :/

There was a tweet by Notch about how many people fit into the location. I don't remember the number though and it doesn't show up in my thread ...

Yeah, 4500 sounds like the number I read. And no I won't be there, instead I'll be doing my physics exam ... at least I got something to look forward to afterwards ...

Would've loved to go. Unfortunately, I got shipped out of the hellhole in the Mojave that I lived in, so a plane flight is the only option. And as much as I love Minecraft, it's not worth the cost, unfortunately. :P
