All these talks deal with dynamic animation instead of static animation. With static animation I mean: you press button X, animation Y plays.

In the talk, two directions are mentioned: motion matching and IK rig. If you only see one video, I recommend the IK rig one, it's excellent:
The other talk mentioned is Simon Clavet's talk on motion matching in For Honor. Unfortunately, GDC doesn't have it up yet, so there's only this badly recorded version. It's borderline watchable, not recommended unless you are really interested in motion matching:
