We had some fun cooking up this idea on IRC :)

PLAY THE GAME!

Everyone knows that the best game is one that's made by blindly listening to fan input.

Basically, feel free to suggest the next feature for this game and vote for the features you'd like to see. Whenever I have time and feel like it, I'll add the top voted feature. The game is open-source, so other programmers can add features, because the game will become even better if lots of people work on it!

The rules:

• The game will be an RPG
• The playing field consists of one row of Unicode characters
• There's a GUI bar
• There's a bar displaying the controls
• You can't change any of the above
• You can change colors though
• I will interpret your idea as I see fit

I like that this game is still within like 250 lines of code or so. It's actually very relaxing to do something quirky like this :)

It's more like a programming assignment than a game, yet it looks like a game. Very zen :D


I've decided that starting with the next version, there's going to be some more humor to it all, you'll see :)

Haha! I came out of retirement to comment on this. I love little games like this - reminds me of something like cookie clicker, it just keeps getting more and more involved. Finding the tentacles was fun! Took me a good little while to figure out what to do with them. It was worth it.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot of excitement for the game, so I don't know how long I'll keep it up :/

Especially the description after the puzzle is truly, truly amazing.

Oh and tidbits like the "you see a wolf. you feel better than it" make me laugh :)
