Show us your small cozy builds.

Post by Panda »

So as apposed to the large scale super buildings one build style i use alot is small cozy builds that feel warm and "full" kinda like cottages. :)
Lets see what you've made!

On my pre-hardcore world, I had this nice little house to store my cake, soap, and creeper faces.

^Liked the house design, but the slats always made my eyes ache when I used them in my builds...too spasmy.

Aaaand here's mine:

Proper close-up. It's a some-sort-of longhouse for the eventual villager migration. The interior is complete with a bed and a lounge in each unit. :P

May I ask why you chose to keep this particular combination of items in the same place? That is... pretty peculiar...

Well...it is comprised of many small cozy structures, despite not being particularly small in its totality :)

I came to this thread expecting small and cozy builds :(

The only one that qualifies is Ion.

I just got eaten by spiders while trying to take pictures of this base, the first on my world, but here's what I managed to take before I succumbed:

In true icy fashion, while traveling through a nearby swamp, I saw a witch hut, scouted it, and looted the cauldron and brewing stand.

I had a nifty water pool nearby, so I decided to turn it into a moat, which fed its unfortunate victims to a kill chamber, at that point merely a holding cell where the condemned waited for me to come with my axe. I didn't take a picture of that chamber, as I was still in the wood n' dirt phase, and it didn't look very interesting or distinguishing.

Let's see, next on the list is going into abandoned mineshafts, then exploring the ocean floor for cave entrances, and after that, waiting out the night on the surface.

I'm kind of disappointed that I lost my base, as it had a nice frontal view, and also had a nice garden that I would've showed off, but I guess the most important thing I should've built was a roof over my entryway.

Actual textures- MCPatcher isn't installed

I don't actually live in this- its just a fancy door that drops into the basement/cave.
(I think I had the floor/walls/windows and half the roof before I hit the iron age)

Thanks for the epic smelt times FC- never could of done it otherwise.
