I have been forced to play minecraft on my sons laptop and unfortunately he is too soft to play BTW and insists on playing vanilla (despite my attempts to convert him)
I noticed that the launcher allows different profiles to play diferent versions of the game and have created my own profile for 1.5.2
would it be possible to use my profile to play BTW without affecting my sone 1.6 vanilla game?

Sorry to have started this before persevering properly, it seems the mistake I was making was altering the jar without first renaming a copy to avoid the launcher automatically refreshing it.
