It's actually based on a documentary from 1999, it was very groundbreaking for its time.
Also, they shut down Universal Animation Studios, so we probably won't be seeing any of that for a while

Oh god man, I think I actually still have the original series on VHS somewhere. It had a much more serious documentary-style presentation than this one though. This one looks like a goddamn Disney movie.

Oh wow ... I remember the original series, I loved it when I was little. Like Sandrew, I'm sure I have the series on VHS ...

This seems more like that film "Two Brothers" done with dinosaurs, rather than the original "documentary" ...

Maybe it is the nostalgia making me think this, but sometimes the old puppets and animations are more realistic looking than today's CGI.

Intelligent use of puppetry usually trumps CGI, but I appreciate the consistency that having this be entirely CGI will bring.

Less painfully obvious CGI models running through live action backgrounds, as was often the case in the original Walking with Dinosaurs, and even Jurassic Park sometimes.

JP4 got postponed again. If we're lucky the director might change his mind about the feathers by the time the project gets back on its feet

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed when they announced that dinosaurs would be featherless, made worse by the fan boys saying it would make them look like chickens or turkeys. Personally, I like feathered/furry dinosaurs better
