Why would you like to join our server: I played BTW before all the hardcore changes and have recently started playing it again. I think the experience would be a lot more fun if it was shared with others.
How long have you been playing Minecraft: For around 2 years.. late Alpha/early Beta.

I will update to 4.68 tomorrow, I know a couple players are looking forward to the improvements
particularly in the nether. I have been working on a barn project for my livestock and it's almost finished. :)

The server will be getting a SSD in the near future. It has been ordered, it's just a matter of myself
and the key holder getting together so it can be put in. I hope the downtime is minimal.
I am not really sure we will see a dramatic performance gain, but it couldn't hurt.

Just wanted to throw this out there so when there is downtime, nobody thinks it's down for good :)

No worries, I just don't like adding players to the whitelist, they join run around until they die, or it gets dark, leave
and never see them again. :)

I can't reach the server! I just connected, disconnected, then updated to 4.69, then couldn't reach the server. Checking to see if it's me... or if the server went down.

Hey I was able to log back in after a couple of minutes. But I was getting disconnects last night. I was disconnected at least 3 times. This hasn't ever happened before so I just wanted to make sure you were aware.

Your server is running out of memory and swapping. The disconnects are periodic, and when they happen they're preceded by lag.

This happened to us a lot when I had a Debian server that had a paltry 512MB of RAM. The server would come right back up and only a few changes, if any, were undone.

Restart the server for a band-aid.

I personally don't think it's a memory issue. The server has far more than 512 megs of ram.
I am thinking it might be more of a network issue maybe.
I am looking into it to see what might be going on.

I only said it was *common* due to the low ram, not solely due to it. :)

The SSD was delivered today. When it gets installed, the OS
will be changed from Windows Server to Linux. This is another
step I am taking to make the server the best it can be with my friends help.

I am not 100% certain on this, but I think you have been banned on this forum before in the past.
I'm not sure why, and it doesn't really matter so there isn't a need to explain.
The issue I have is that seeing as I believe you have had a prior ban, (maybe more than one) there
had to of been fairly good reason for it.

If you can confirm the above for me, then you can consider your application not accepted.
IF the above isn't true, then I will certainly add you to the whitelist.

This will be the ONLY chance you will get.

This forum as well as our server has set rules, all you really have to do is follow
them, and you should be fine. Always read the rules first, then follow them.

This is the public spawn shelter. It has the basics for those who need a little help getting started, but don't want to
trespass. This shelter can not be turned into a base or home. I ask that those who use the items inside help maintain it. I am also going to work on public garden down from it. Remember, you miss out on the core experience of BTW when taking advantage of this, but I know for some the process is almost overwhelming.
