[Spoilers] [Legit survival play] Animals/Plants in the End

Post by ExpHP »

Nobody has talked about this at all yet on the forum?

A cursory test of animals in the end has shown that
Last chance to figure it out on your own. It is not hard
Show
They do not grow up.
I myself can't think of any special use for this, but I'm curious as to what ideas other people may have. And it is possible that there could be more, undiscovered effects.

Hehe...yeah, it has been a bit odd that nobody has mentioned this. I think it's more a matter of people being overwhelmed by the number of subtle changes as of late.

I'll save you some trouble though and say that as far as I know there's NO specific use to it. What it does is diversify the feel of the different dimensions, and the automation tasks that are suitable in each.

Keep in mind that even with Hardcore Buckets enabled, water behaves by vanilla rules in the end, making automating certain things there highly advantageous. HOWEVER, not everything can be automated there any longer.

I've also been trying to create consistent thematic elements to the end to give it an overall vibe/back story. Both the bucket and plant/animal changes are part of that.

i can't seem to find a video but there is one very weird use i know of :)
baby animals follow one of the parents ignoring walls and other restrictions so you can use the two as a wireless redstone feature. normally this is rather just for fun because the kid just grows up but now it can be used in actual machines...

btw now with child labor!
<FlowerChild> if I wasn't serious, I would have just fucked you and left :)

Awesome, this is exactly what I wanted to see, the main reason I wanted animals in other dimensions is to make them feel less bland, and this is exactly the case here :]
War..
War never changes.
