Disappointing loot

I just found an "enchanted book" in a dungeon chest- I'd just like to verify that these things are useless, right? They're only usable with anvil waste of iron deadweight, from what I understand- I just wanted to make sure incase flowerchild had given these things some alternative use, or if they would be removed alltogether in the future.

Heh, I feel my self kind of wishing for something akin to the "horadric lutefisk cube" in Dungeons of Dredmore to convert useless crap to something marginaly less useless "Whats this? A stack of plastic bolts? fantastic, more lutefisk"
I love that feature of the crucible to melt down the odd bucket I find in dungeons- of all the peculiar things to count as "loot"..... I've always been a little curious as to what decision making process went into what should be found in those chests.

Those books can easily be made to function like arcane scrolls, but even if they don't get any use whatsoever, they are a horder's pride, as saddles, records and cocoa beans used to be.

They aren't actually working as arcane scrolls nor can you convert enchanted books into arcane scrolls. he is saying that they could be transformed into arcane scrolls, that would make sense as they have the same goal, and won't be hard to code. But remember, this is NOT a suggestion topic, if you all wanna keep enjoying this comunity, I suggest you not to make suggestions in discussion topics as FC really doesn't like it.

I also remember FC saying that he didn't want to mess up with the world gen. where this "loot" is defines, iirc.

Actually...that's a good point. I never did put in rendering recipes for books since their recipes changes to include leather. Will add that to my todo list :)

Personally when i find them i just think of them as a trophy treasure. Lol.
