Considering the growing selection of banners available, I don't think it matters. People can just switch to a different one and still show their support.
But I just want to add one more thing: They may take our banners, but they will never take our freedom! BTW gu bràth!

I put my profile pic back up on MCF, but it's been taken down again. They also gave me an infraction, plus a warning telling me if I put it up again I get banned.

How should I/we respond to that?
I don't wanna get banned, but this kind of heavy-handed moderating is ridiculous. On the other hand FC does it too so it seems kind of hypocritical to fight against it x.X

This is no general removal. I do still have the Borg-Banner in my vMCF-profile but I wasn't as active as other members.

There is a Theory that they did remove the banners from people who did post in the vMC thread on the last x pages. Since my last post was on page 5 or so I may have slipped trough the net.

i think their *watching* certian people who were ative in the thread, but because their were so many pople i think they missed, a few and alot fell through their watch list.

either that or they have a particular grudge against the people who were active towards the end.

i guess the pro-forge side could have mass reported you when they lost the credible auguments and started spouting nonsense, and got you noticed.

Confirm, my banner disappeared from the MC Forum too, no messages or warnings. I only had the pic of the very first banner that was made without the link.
I chose another from this thread and applied it, link and all this time.

Edit: making changes to your mc forums profile via iPad sucks. It's like the drop down links are pass through.

There's no reason other than personal bias. Having banners in support of independence and creative autonomy is obviously not against the rules of the forum.

I suspect what we're looking at here is a pro-Forge/Lex moderator or two trying to quietly delete these banners without any kind of real authority or cause.

In other words: just some dick with a small amount of power being a dick and trying to not draw too much attention to it in the process.

They've yet to touch mine for example, which is probably wise given the stink I'd raise about it.

Contrary to my last post, my banner has been removed over at MCF with no explanation. I am in the middle of disputing my infraction for "spamming" with DiegoAtravesar. He kicked it up to an admin Elystus who agreed it wasn't spam, but flaming instead. Then my banner disappeared.

I've already kicked it back disputing their latest claim and asking what happened to my banner.
