Blaze Rod to Blaze Powder

Since the Hardcore grinding feature was added,some materials required the Mill Stone to render them into a more "Dusty" form...for example Reeds into Sugar and Bones into Bone Meal..But Blaze Rods into Blaze powder dont use that feature.
Its not a suggestion,but shouldnt Blaze Rods be put into the Mill Stone to get Blaze Powder?
