HOW TO USE:
1. Make sure that the downloaded file is a folder named "Glimmar's SteamPunk Mod Support (VX)"
2. Download Glimmar's Texture Pack
3. Move the folders from "Glimmar's Steampunk Mod Support (VX)" into the Texture Pack folder
4. Move the Texture Pack folder into "texturepacks" in the minecraft folder
5. Enjoy!

READ: Take note that none of these textures are my own work. The textures were made by Glimmar, I only pasted together alts.

ALSO READ: If you would like the Buildcraft textures for Glimmar's Pack, please visit his post on MCF and download his "mod compilation pack". Buildcraft and many other mods have been textured and included in this pack.

The Blocks are now 100% done!!! Of course, I will continue to go back and edit them as I still have some edits in mind but they are all officially covered by Steampunk textures :)

NEWER THAN THE NEWEST OF NEW: Sorry for the HUGE delay. Real life has been kicking my butt for a while now but Im back with a rather large update. Every single Item is now complete except for the Gimp suit. I will have these up soon!

THE NEWEST OF THE NEW: Added Support for Doggy Talents and Simply Horses and updated the items and blocks for BTW 3.71.

EVEN NEWER THAN THE LAST ONE: Add support for RBD Tools by Raust (because it is amazing). I put a lot of work into these ones and the kukri was practically made from scratch so I really would appreciate any opions! Please tell me what you think!

EVEN NEWER: Added support for PatrickSJ's Vat Add-On for BTB. Please give options on the textures :)

NEWER: Added a spout texture for BTB. If you would like the rest of Buildcraft for Glimmar's pack then go visit his post on MCF and download his mod compilation pack. Please give me your opinions on its look :)

NEW: Items are now being done with help from TheHoboHunted and I am trying to see if I can make gui as well. Defaults are being used for the placeholders (removed Battosay's placeholders to avoid copyright infringement), but they will be removed of course as items are updated.

I like the idea of taking on BTW as a "steampunk" style because many of the systems and contraptions seem like they would fit as they aren't to techy, magic, or simple. Help is especially appreciated because while I have a vision for how I want this to go I unfortunately don't have all the skills required to do so (though I am aiming to try).

Thanks for any responses guys :)

Im not going to post it here for that exact reason. I intend to provide in game screenshots and a link to Glimmar's thread where the TP will be located so that I do not break his copyright. However, I do not know whether FlowerChild will allow me to post textures for his mod outside of his own threads. Ive never seen anything telling me i couldn't but Ive only seen TPs for BTW on this thread and Im not sure whether he cares or not. So can someone tell me, or even FlowerChild himself, if it is alright for me to do so?

EDIT: forget everything I have said. Glimmar allows his textures on relevant mod forums as it helps boost his pack anyway.

Hmmm. I really didn't think about that. Well I'll just keep it on Glimmar's forum for now until its more complete then ill bring it back again, perhaps by then Glimmar will have reformed his copyright.

I started a BTW TP for Glimmars Steampunk awhile back. Got pretty far with it. Did the same thing you did apparently. :D

I just never got up to the gumption to ask permissions... And then just sort of moved on, leaving it lonely and incomplete.

Best of luck friend. I look forward to seeing your take on it.

Yay! Now I can finally rest at peace knowing that some unknown force isn't going to come crashing down over me and destroy my very existence.

Im just throwing a warning out there that these textures are either straight from Glimmar's alt textures (He has over 600 alt textures that just about fit with everything) or copy/pasted together from those alt textures. Don't expect it to be pretty right from the start!

By any chance did you do any of the items or gui? Atm I only have the block textures 90% completed (A few were peeled from Battosay's mix as a placeholder) and I don't have any experience at making custom textures, though I intend to try. If you do anything you could send me would be fantastic! I'd make sure to give you credit as well.

I'll edit my first post in a bit to show off the first version of the block textures. I'm interested how people will feel about a steampunk take on BTW rather than the traditional/medieval.

I kinda puttered out right around the time I was getting into the Items and GUI. At the time I think I was overwhelming myself with all the possibilities via MCPatcher (ambient lighting, particle effects [I think,] animated textures, etc.)

I'll dig around a bit and see what I've got. I think I've still got some old screenshots somewhere... If I find'em I'll edit them into this post.

And yeah man, I'd be happy contribute anything I have. I'm fairly decent at the Photoshop, but haven't really had a reason to fire it up lately. I just might take a(nother) whack at it.

Standby for Edit.

[EDIT]:
Well that didn't take long... But, so far I've only located a few.

Wow.... Ironically our textures ended up incredibly similar! The anchor is almost exact and the detector even has the same face (although your red dot is a lot better). I guess this is a good thing then :)

Do you have any of the actual files though? I do like some of the smaller details on the gear box but if you can't its fine. I could probably just do it myself if I need to. I think Ill try my hand at photoshop (Just started learning how to use it in photography class a few months back) and see what I can do for the items and gui.

I'm guessing the 89 in your Screen name is representative of your birth year? If so, this just got deep. Yay 23. :D

Dude... The resemblance is uncanny. I guess a lot of his textures just sort of lend themselves to BTW. That or... Meh, here's what I found of the TP I was working on. Note the lack of recent additions to the index.

Honestly, I would've replied sooner, but my significant other has been on chat roulette and I'd been drinking... So many insecure phalli to ridicule...

OH, and before I forget, the rest is Battosay's TP mix. Did I beam thoughts of unfinished and unfulfilled ambitions into your head or something? Or are you my twin?

Sorry it took so long to reply, the hangovers were a day long affair. ಠ_ಠ

So yeah, feel free to take of it what you will. I might fiddle around with a GUI or two today maybe. No guarantees though.

Haha seeing you two with these has inspired me to do my own cause I can't wait :D

Although I am not an artist in any way, so I am just copying and pasting things from the alternative textures onto the entities and such, you have already both done good jobs with the BTW terrain!

@TheHoboHunted
It is pretty interesting just how similar a lot of these textures are! I agree that a lot of the textures do lend themselves to BTW (almost all of the hole ones are the exact size for an axle) and thats kinda why I started this. I think I might steal your gearbox side but I'll think about it. About the 89 in my name, it is actually completely random Im afraid, Im only 17. When I made this username years back the slots for letters were labeled 1-9 and when I finished it automatically put 89 at then end, and it just stuck. Sorry if this is disappointing :(

@Biohazard91x
I hope it turns out well! I might ask to steal some of yours if they turn out amazing!

@Dr. Kylstein
Man! I thought I was doin something never done before but it looks like others had similar ideas. I like a lot of those textures and I think I might change a few of mine now, thanks!

EDIT: Wow thank you Dr. Kylestein. I had done the windmill and waterwheel as the very first textures to be edited and then forgot about them, Ill post them right now.

Just switched out the texture for the lens for yours Hobo. It was just much better than mine (and the circle for the actual light is something I wouldn't have thought of). Im looking for a replacement for the Block dispenser but I can't really seem to get anything to fit together well. Any ideas?

Worked for about an hour solid just trying to figure out how the mining charge texture works and finally got something I was happy with! Hope you like it as well :)

With this release I have only the hemp textures to go before Im done with all the block textures! Huzzah!

Hah, thanks for using my Lens texture dude. :D

Working on a items sheet a little bit this morning before work. Surprisingly fun.

Same would apply to them once I'm done. Take the ones you like, leave the others. Probably won't get too far. Just trying to save ya some headache.

So far, I've just been taking bits and pieces from Glimmar's Item.png and cutting/pasting/de-saturating/re-coloring/smudging/smearing/burning/dodging. :P

And here and there I'll actually draw a line.

Right now, I'm just going through the easy ones that just require a little editing. Unless I think of a way to re-purpose one or more other items to suit my needs.

All in Photoshop of course.

I am about to have to leave, but I'll get back on it this evening if I'm not too tired. Hopefully I'll get something together worth sharing. Here's hoping. ;D

Let's see, before I left I completed the:

Cement Bucket
Nethercoal
Scoured Hide
Tanned Hide
Leather Strap
Leather Belt
Dung
SFS Ingot
Flour

And something else, but I can't quite place it.

Not much, but it's a start.

Nice, that's more than I was hoping for! What Im worried about are the refined tools and the mattock and battle axe. I'm not sure how I could paste together something coherent from say the diamond tools since they are pretty unique in Glimmar's pack. Once I get back home (typing from iPad right now) I'll work on the other items as well.

I'm really excited that this is coming along smoothly :)

I have to admit, you have kept very faithfull to the steampunk textures, it blends very nicely. I will give this a try as soon as you release it. Good job man, and keep up the good work!
