Re: BTW Livestreamers

Same again.
Streaming while listening to music and messing around the base. Probably gonna be boring.
Quite surprised that my last stream was automatically posted on Youtube then notified for the obvious copyright content of the music heh

Messing around with streaming.
Playing around for a couple hours and listening to (very) random music.

Re: Gamemaker: Studio Pro (humble bundle)

I had a look at the games made with Gamemaker, I only recognise a few of them, most notably Hotline Miami. Honestly though I might get it too just for screwing around on. US$15 for the game maker, its various modules and a bunch of finished games + source code seems worth it just for the amount of t...

Pocket edition/windows 10 app version of minecraft are synonymous.
The usual PC version of minecraft on java still works fine on windows 10

Re: Windows 10 to kill steam?

I've been procrastinating regarding the update for a full year now - hard to believe the deadline is in 2 days. Is it worth upgrading from 8? I can't say I've seen any features in that actually seem worth the hassle when I'd likely be buying a new PC before 8 stops being supported. I would recommen...

Re: The BTW Stoner Challenge

The point most of the time for us was to get all the kinds of blocks available in the storeroom for aesthetic builds, and to move a lot of them automatically after whatever processes needed to make them usually required said process. Of course it wasn't full proof as a lot of the time when you re lo...

Re: What happened to automation?

Yeah, but if you only attain said automation after acquiring everything then... What's the point? But that is the entire 'point' for games such as BTW There is no real need to do anything. Its easy enough to survive on stone tools. It's the reward that drives it. You have to make your own 'point' a...

Re: Can't find a ravine

I would go for a large trip also. Aye maps are a bit far along and are not needed and are really small for doing big trips (max size only has a 2k radius) Compass is handy but you don't need it as you can leave beacons on the way pointing the way back. Bring food of course but you can hunt pigs and ...

Re: Persistent mobs

All entities can be made persistent if you're willing to edit the nbt tags I'm on a server so that is not an option. Any mob that has the ability to pick up items won't despawn if it's holding something it picked up Thanks for that. I suspected it was something like that, so I should be able to do ...

Persistent mobs

I am making an aesthetic piece and I am wondering what mobs can me made persistent?
I think I vaguely remember something with zombies equipping items?
Are witches transformed from villagers persistent? Zombie pigmen from pigs etc?

Re: Trouble starting hemp

Hemp needs access to the sky or a light block.
I think glass is ok but you said it is under the swamp lagoon as in under the water? If so then that is most likely blocking the hemp's access to the sky

Re: Getting started -- rambling, but could use some tips

Well you have got yourself a mighty uphill start. Slimes are indeed trouble. Lighting the swamp will stop them from spawning. Unlike other mobs slimes wont despawn over time if you are in range. So the longer you are in or near a swamp the more slimes can get built up and the more places they can go...

Re: [1.5.2][GUIDE] How-to install BTW w/ MCLauncher & MCPatc

Pretty much what Gil said. MCPatcher has a subset of desirable mods that modify baseclasses that BTW modifies by directly injecting code directly into it. The bigger pull for using MCPatcher for BTW is CTM (connected textures mod) will allow the texture pack to dynamically alter textures based on a ...

Re: Problem with fully automatic dung farm

Food will always despawn no matter if its on a web or on a pressure plate.
Difference is that food despawning on the pressure plate will pop a new one out, I know of no way to detect food despawning off a cobweb

Re: Problem with fully automatic dung farm

I think you missed the whole point of this build. With it there is always a piece of food available to the dog 100% of the time if used as a low tech or high tech solution. The instant a piece of food is missing (eaten or not) it pops another one. The only drawback with using dispensers is that a ho...

Re: Problem with fully automatic dung farm

Here is my low tech feeder layout http://i.imgur.com/Kor2ceS.png?1 http://i.imgur.com/RjJWtSN.png?1 Pretty basic, food itself is the timer with a pressure plate on the dispenser. When food gets eaten (or despawns) another piece of food takes its place. I used a similar layout in a fully auto kibble ...

I feel a bit differently. I think I dislike doing the villager trading. It requires a lot of micromanaging ...

Because I had not played any updated prior I don't know how it was like but I can attest to the component value. Every trade the 2 things I beeline for are Medpacks and components. Still have not had a game where I have collected enough components to fuel one of those fabled killboxes

So how did relationships fair in your game? Not too badly. My first one had the pair get engaged. I could spend all day making theories to how it all works but in the end its better to wait a...
