Re: Installation Problems

There is a short term solution as I just found out, but it's not as cool. Use the old launcher, therefore you need to have the jar file within the \bin Folder and named "minecraft". Then the old launcher will use it. It worked for me, but the old launcher did't allow me to log me in, so no...

Having the same issue here : I have to report a strange error, or hopefully I'm just to dump to follow the guide. Having all done I went into te directory (..\.minecraft\versions\BTW) and the patched jar had around 7mb, all fine. Then I started the launcher, selected the right profile (checked every...

Re: [spoilers] Mushroom farm designs

Have renewable iron, but no endstone yet, so no buddy/detector blocks. The general idea to lengthen timers is to chain clocks, even different types. PulsLimiters should be used to concatenate the clocks, ensuring nothing weird happens. And yeah, thats it. There is no IronTech clock better than item...

I will work on a new version right when I'm home, but it will take some time to realise what I have in mind... Right, forgot that silverfish mountain thing Even so I should have known it, as I'm living in a mountains biome at the moment, through I have no problems with my little subtenants; the have...

Re: Biom Value Oversview

Digging deeper into the wiki I found out you where right with Wolves not spawning in ice plains. Well, to help you out, here's the full list of biomes straight out of the code: Thank you, this leaves no more room for speculations. But it isn't exactly making the job easier... sure now I have all the...

Re: Biom Value Oversview

Well, the biomes aren't really balanced against each other in an attempt to make them all equal or something. They're really just setup to try and make each of them interesting in their own way, and there's likely more work I could do there as well. That's about what I thought as well, and for me i...

Re: Optimal Melon Farm Layout

The wiki also said that melons and pumpkins check to see if they have an adjacent fruit of the same type before spawning, and idk what that means exactly, but it might be worth trying a half-pumpkin half-melon layout in case putting a melon fruit next to a melon vine prevents it from spawning . Tha...

Re: Biom Value Oversview

Thank you Rob, your mentions helped improve the chart a lot. I may still have missed something in the process. I'm not sure whether to add things like "Mushroom Islands" and "Villages"/"Temples" as their own sections. Also I have not encountered an "ice plains"...

Re: Optimal Melon Farm Layout

As far as I remember FC did not change the way melons (or pumpkins) grow, so a look at the vanilla wiki might be worth, as they explain it quite well.

According to vanilla wiki it does.

Biom Value Oversview

Hi there, BTW alwasy focused on having little unnecessary "features", and this applys to biomes as well. This means every biome in BTW has a specific purpose, something that makes it Special and gives it a right to exist; in many cases this was not the case with the vanilla Version. If I r...

Re: [WIKI] A comprehensive guide to editing the BTW wiki

I recently saw this post : Iron beacons have a stronger effect than others (as do soulforged beacons), but all beacons generate a field which the compass will point towards. The only exception is the glass beacon, since it is intended as a strictly decorative option And when I went on the wiki (for ...

Re: Soul Forged Steel and Explosives pointless?

You might want to Change your perspective on the subject. SFS Tech is not a tool on the way of beating the game (Honestly imo Minecraft is not a game that "can be beaten", and neither is BTW) but is the reward you get for mastering all the challenges the game offers. Once you mastered all ...

Have you tried using other BTW exclusive furnanceFuels? Have you lit the pit where you were hiding the chicken? Animals in not litten areas can despawn if the chunks are loaded. At least that is vanilla behaviour and I cant remember that FC changed that; but I might be wrong. wrong, very wrong. there is no such thing in vanilla also. animals in vanilla ...

Hehe...no, but that's actually not a bad idea :) That sounds like FC, try to put on a 'gimp suit' and then do something mad with the creatures. maybe you can put 'breeding harnesses' on wolves then or something (can't verify that myself atm, because im still not at this Point in the tech tree. I'll need to specifically replace the plank recipe which is easy enough. I was planning on holding off till everything in BTW was finalized to push one big update out, but I'll look to get a smaller one out in the next few days, bringing it up to speed with the current changes and putting the recip...
