Re: Some gorgeous (custom) Minecraft terrain

I dont think Minecraft Map creation is easily translatable to other jobs, but the attention to detail and knowledge of 3d space and modeling could be a good stepping stone into other stuff. I dont think experience in art has expiration dates or dead ends. On the subject of currency, a good replaceme...

Re: Aurora, a 4x space game with a complexity comparable to

I have been following Quill's foray into "ugly but complex games" for a while. Stuff like DF, EUIV, HoI3 and now Aurora. I have no interest in learning or playing them, but there is something in the way he describes what he is doing that just makes for good background noise. I do this for ...

Re: Exposed spoilers will bring swift death. The Force Awake

I disagree with your last point. Rey and Finn were running from the base they blew up when Kylo caught up with them. As for why they were on the base in the first place, Rey was taken there and Finn had claimed knowledge of how to shut down the shields, so I think there is a very legitimate reason ...

Re: Exposed spoilers will bring swift death. The Force Awake

I think the new cast is great. They are energetic and excited like the original was. The dialog is very... Avengers-like, quick quips and dinamic interruptions with a lot of "yeah thats totally what han solo/iron man would say". Exposition was kept to a minimal which is really good, but t...

Re: Strange ways to play BTW

@abculatter_2 Yeah the hunter/gatherer style of play until finding a village was my prefered method of work a few updates ago. After a while though, you realize that if you keep moving you might never run out of food until you find your village, but you also realize that during those 3 or 4 days tha...

Wow! People are just the worst! "You cant change something that benefits me becouse" is a really shitty atitute and as dawnrider said, the guys in that thread are as self-entitled as it gets. When HC spawn config went the way of the dodo i remember a backlash from this community, but I rec...

((1+1) . Log (1)) - 1 = 19
(1+1) . (1+1) = 22

(1+1+1+1)! = 24

You never much got into the Total Annihilation/Supreme Commander style of games did you? :) Nope, but i do have SupCom on my library, maybe i should revisit it now that im done with DoW. Shame Fc didnt get to play as the goo. They are by far the most interesting of the races, but then again really underdeveloped. Its the potential that got me hooked and playing through most of the campaing during the weekend i can unfortunetly say it plays like a big generic RTS demo. There is a lot...

Grey Goo, a recent release RTS of the 90s style is both free to play for the weekend and 60% off to purchase if you like it. I'm going to be trying it at some point for sure Was replaying the original DoW series for the kick of it, when this showed up. Man, its pretty good. Definitly buying it once...

Fuck dude! I really thought he was in the clear. Fucking shitty disease, hope he lives as long as he can. But we will inevitably lose a great gaming critic and youtube personality, I cant imagine it will be easy to keep working in this conditions for long.

Here's hoping the best for him.

Re: Your favorite weather

On the above, the whole 'I like my' part kinda implies it was a joke based on personal taste in relationships rather than bigotry FC. It was actually an attempt of mockery towards what I assumed was a known chauvinistic joke about weather and woman, with a slight self-depricating vibe from the impr...
