Re: RimWorld Alpha 9

There are a LOT of turret mods on their forums, but AFAIK none of them does what you were talking about. There are mods where you can put the weapon of your choice on the turret, unlocked via research, however none of them seem to be disable the vanilla turrets. Could be wrong though. I have tried s...

Re: RimWorld Alpha 9

Yeah, most likely. I've even had multiple factions befriended, so the attacks were much more rare. Anyway... Ever heard of power armor? ;) Ever heard of realizing that if you put a game on a lower difficulty and intentionally setup the key parameters of the game such as terrain to be easy, that com...

Re: RimWorld Alpha 9

Thanks for the tips. Yeah once I realized the potential of the prostophile, getting my hands on bionic legs was one of the first priorities for me. I just wonder, why didn't you invest in advanced equipment with such vast amounts of money? Combat isn't so terrible once you have a decent doctor and e...

Re: RimWorld Alpha 9

snip Wow, that's a lot of cash... Yes that's a typical killbox. Although when I read that you said your base was in a mountain, that's not what I imagined. I imagined that you're (just as me) dug up in a big-ass mountain that covers half of the map. I played on rough difficulty. Definitely will hig...

Re: RimWorld Alpha 9

After reaching endgame in my current base, the next play through won't be in a mountain. I don't know the dwarf bases kinda feel cheaty to me.You just have to basically worry about the side where your entrance is. I'm not even using the op killboxes. My trade area is right outside the mountain so an...

Bwahah! Dang that is good, what did you select a desert! Temperate actually, but the seasonal fluctuations seem to range between -20 in the winter and maybe 50 degrees in summer when heat waves hit. The other ones I've had were survivable, but that one in particular was just nuts. You may be missin...

Re: RimWorld Alpha 9

This game, you guys. 3 of my best melee and shooting colonists were mining far away from the base and just got overwhelmed by a swarm of mad squirrels set off by alien psychic drones. It was awesome and super annoying/frustrating at the same time. EDIT: I managed to save them all. One almost froze t...

Re: Factorio: A game all about automation

Any mods that you could recommend? I agree completely with the aforementioned of DyTech. I played around with a mod that adds roads, and bonuses of building them but nothing much else. Oh wait no. I've spoiled myself with the TimeButtons mod. Can't play without them anymore. Recently came across the...

lol, the devs have cancelled the funding on Kickstarter on ~ 20,000 pounds out of 50,000 goal. Interestingly enough though, a dev posted recently on steam that the development continues.

The concept and the video are great, but I won't support/buy this for some time. Too many cashgrab-devs out there nowadays.

The thing I enjoyed the most in the video was the soundtrack :D

Re: Android or Windows Phone?

I don't care about Apple. Iphone is just overpriced and very conservative in the design IMO. Gods, this is so hard... The only thing similar in Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 8.1 are the Live Tile start screen. I haven't really used W8 on my pc, but recently thought that I could give it a shot with a...

Could you elaborate on what is restrictive on them? I've read something similar elsewhere, but didn't get the idea quit right.

Android or Windows Phone?

Getting a new phone soon, but can't decide between these two platforms. Help? I know that some of you don't use phones at all... but most of you do. So which one, WP or android and why? Have looked upon Lumia 930, but still thinking maybe I should go for Xperia Z2 or something along those lines. I'v...

Man/Bear/Alien. I'm not certain if South Park's Man/Bear/Pig was a reference to that thing, but I like to think it might have been ;) See, I actually kinda liked Alien 4, right up until the end. The thing was, when I saw it, I thought it was leading into Ripley being the monster on board the space-...

Re: Star Wars VII trailer

Ah, Alien. Well I guess the same thing for me goes here as in Star Wars. I'm just too much of a fan for the series to see the bad things in each subsequent film. However, the more i watch them, the more fond I grow towards the first two. The third is the least favorite of mine, but since I'm a huge ...

Re: Star Wars VII trailer

I don't get that when I look at that spherical droid or the hover bike in this trailer. Yeah, I have to agree here. Didn't like them at all. The spherical droid was definitely inspired from some other sci-fi franchise, as I've seen similar concepts elsewhere. And the blocky bike reminded me somethi...

Re: This week's The Walking Dead (spoilers)

As I mentioned before, I gave up on the series rapidly. The comics are definitely way more brutal. For example, any shooting scene in the comic and you can be sure at least two of the main characters at that point will die, if not all of them (there's a shooting scene in the comics that kills off t...

Re: This week's The Walking Dead (spoilers)

Yeah, I have to agree. Though I've been wondering how the cops got Carol there, this episode wasn't really that interesting, as the last one was. And the unnecessary flashbacks felt like they just didn't know how to stretch the time of the episode. In last week's episode the flashbacks about Abraham...
