Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
vMC is too deep in s**t. Anything Mojang change, people complain about. Only time there's minimal complaining is when they add new stuff.

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
Amplified terrain is just spammed mountains. It's just as boring as flatness everywhere... As for the trees, I heard they're just placeholders.

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
I expected a lot more. It looks like they just added a bunch of new biomes, with a few changes to snow biomes and biome placement. I was glad when they said they weren't including the new terrain to the snapshot because that would mean they want to work on it more, but then decided they're pretty m...

To be honest, that doesn't look too bad. Definitely better than the current generator where it's just full of oceans. I'll have to wait for the update before judging it.

I like the idea of the research bench, but I'm not really a fan of the recipe changes. :/

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
I haven't seen any reference or pictures of cherry trees, but the biomes per-continent look like they have some sort of organisation now. Yes, but that doesn't mean it's actually a good thing for gameplay. Having to travel to different continents to find various biomes is rather extreme and variety...

Re: Kaos' Zombified Deco Add-on [PENDING PERMISSION]
Nice! I've always wanted an aesthetic add-on. Keep up the good work. I'd really like to see the mobs on the original add-on, like the butterfly, bee, and firefly, and maybe a few more atmospheric mobs like squirrels, bunnies, and fishes. :)

Are the horses supposed to be really hard to maneuver or is that part still work in progress? Or maybe I'm missing something?

Re: Hardcore Creeperiness - Spoiler
About keeping creepers (or any mobs) from despawning, I think name tags in 1.6 does the job as far as I know. Might be one item you don't want to completely rip out. Yes, and as far as I know, they also fuck up the mob-cap, which is why I wanted to rip them out in the first place :P Didn't think ab...

Re: SummerFields + BTW (32x32)
The wavy blocks are here to stay, but if you dislike the tint I gave them in this attempt, i'll go back to the drawing board and try something else. Just let me know what you think. I just kinda wanted them to be darker, but have the same texture (without the waves), like it is in the default. I tr...

I remember this glitch back in 1.2.5 (when I bought Minecraft). I remember it didn't happen in SSP, but did in SMP. When 1.3 came out along with the SSP and SMP merge, the glitch came to SSP, so it might have something to do with that. I posted this on the MCF: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1...

Re: SummerFields + BTW (32x32)
Can I make a request? On the stratosphere textures, would you make it so that the stone gets darker instead of squigglier kind of like it is in default BTW textures? Like a smooth transition from light colored stone to dark colored bedrock.

Re: Why I love HC Bucket
Speaking of HC buckets, do you think you would want buckets to only get water from source blocks to encourage carrying multiple water buckets when deep caving? As of right now, you only really need one water bucket to put out an unlimited amount of lava as long as you place the water on the wall or ...

Re: Beware of zombies with spoons . . .
I've been tempted on many occasions to make BTW fixed difficulty normal only for that reason. I think it wouldn't be so bad an idea to fix the difficulty. I've ruined quite a lot of saves for me because I sometimes freak out and turn the difficulty to peaceful instead of facing my death, and it alw...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
The little bit of faith that I had left in Minecraft and Mojang is now completely gone. I was expecting a terrain overhaul, not a biome update that only adds temples and dungeons... Luckily, there's BTW that keeps me playing. I can't wait for RTH.

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
I don't even play vanilla Minecraft anymore. I don't know why the people on the forums love these updates so much. I suppose it is interesting to see what we would be (or have long given up on) playing without the discovery of Better Than Wolves. I visit this site more than any other Minecraft site...
