Re: Anybody wanna talk about "Thief"?

Brilliant opinion article of a brilliant game. I've never really imagined the effects of maps and minimaps on gameplay and narrative and he explained it perfectly (and I fully understand why @FC was trying to remove maps from btw a while back now). I've played Thief and had a blast, even though I am...

Re: Mad Max: Fury Road

Sic burn Gamespot. Sick burn!

Btw the game is not a tie in. It was meant to release on 2013 but due to hardware contraints, and probably the free advertisement the movie would bring, they delayed to later this year. Quite a smart move if i do say so myself.

Re: Witcher 3

Been playing Witcher since the first one (ow the terrible cluncky combat brings memories of so many rage quits) and i needed every muscle in my body to not pick it up. You see The Witcher 3, GTA V, Batman and probably Fallout 4 made me realise that my PC cant run current games anymore and that means...

Re: Hololens and its applications.... discuss

Its far too soon to say anything conclusive about it, but from the get go I think this is the best virtual reality/ motion control i have seen. The Ocullus rift and the kinects and whatever always interfaced 3D controls with 2D presentation or the other way around. The Hololens interfaces your 3d in...

Re: X:COM 2

The hit/crit breakdown (as well as descriptions of buffs/debuffs/abilities) is already available by F1 or a '?' button while aiming the shot, but having it visible all the time could let you compare different targets a bit easier. Holy shit! Never seen that! I only use the "?" Button on m...

standard settings, so i believe normal without ironman *Gasp*! There is a filthy casual among us... Just kidding, playing that game in classic or above can be infuriating! I believe the worst part of XCom randomness come from the fact that you dont really know why your shot is 64%. Apparently Xcom ...

Risk of rain has two things thar make it too much fucking addicting. Multiplayer and achievement unlockables attached to a % of game completion. I have over 50h clocked at this game and i love it.

Because that is the direction I wish and hope they will take with xcom 2. One can only wish! Long war made Xcom harder and more interesting in everyway. I do think it highlighted some of the game's weakest points like map design and the "MMO style cluster mod pull"® way of fighting the Al...

Re: X:COM 2

Whoa now..."complexity" is a very strong word to use there :) Yeah maybe complex is a little too much. I was born in the 90's so i live through the great classics, but was too young to experience them. Had to make an efford to go back and play old rpgs like Fallout, Xcom and Baldurs Gate,...

Re: X:COM 2

Weird thing is? Pc exclusive! Dont get me wrong im a strong believer of the PC master race, but XCom Enemy Unknown fitted amazing in tablets and consoles because of the simplicity of its controls and the complexity of its mechanics. And so it was that it reached pretty much every gaming console made...

Ads are amost always either brand establishing or reaffirmitive. Establishing ads are run for new products or brands and/or for ventures into new markets. These are ads that explain to you why such product exist or how they work and its pretty much what you are refering to. If you think you never pu...

Re: Daredevil TV series (spoilers)

You're absolutely right, it was the Defenders, not the Avengers. That's how far I've fallen out of the superhero thing: I'm even getting the various groups confused ;) Well to be honest you really need a guide book nowadays to figure out who is who and what universes are not part of other universer...

Re: Daredevil TV series (spoilers)

The black suit was so cool thought! Even the fight choreography up until the very last fight against the Kingpin was spot on. I am convinced they shot the last episodes before anything else in the series as a proof of concept and just kept it later in development to cut costs or something. The way t...

I know a lot of people hate his guts but TB is good at doing this kinda of stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aavBAplp5A Also @FC - 30% is valve's standard cut across the board. Same with GOG.com as well IIRC. Yikes...that's more than I thought. The figure makes more sense for mods then :) Just...

Only Valve can piss off a giant chunk of its customers with a stupid idea, backtrack on it and then come out on top cuz they listened to the community. Hey! How about asking what the community thinks of a certain feature before fully committing to it? I guess when you run a monopoly, market research...

Re: Monetized Mods

It just sounds that Valve is trying to make Tf2 out of Skyrim. Let the players build their own assets and we can monetize them without much efford. They did it with dota 2 and CSGo why wouldnt it work again? The thing is Mods are not as simple as new skins and hats, mods can break, mods are always m...

Re: Trying to Share BTW (and failing)

Its super hard to convince Dark Souls fans to play Minecraft. The other way around is also true. I tried many times to convert some of my friends to play by themselves, but the fastest way to ease someone into it its also the most complex. Setting a server is a pain and you end up losing people befo...

Also, the fps wasn't that great on my laptop, and basically I think that was the biggest turn off for me. It's an i7-3610QM with a GeForce 610m, on lowest settings it was no more than 20 fps. Make sure you are running the game through your Nvidia and not your built in Intel GPU. I did a quick searc...
