Re: How to get rid of water

Are you sure they're source-blocks? It might just be one massive waterfall all the way down from the bottom of the lake. In that case you can just put a roof at the same level as the bottom of the lake and the water should stop filling the hole.

Re: Trapdoor as a hopper filter?

Tried it, but both feathers and eggs stay on top of it. Ditto for the wicker (duh). The ladder, trapdoor and grate accept both eggs and feathers.

Trapdoor as a hopper filter?

While trying to figure out how to separate eggs from feathers, I sorta ran into trouble that all filters I could think of were equal for the two. Wondering whether I had missed any, I checked the wiki only to find out that trapdoors are considered filters as well. From the description there, I would...

Re: Semi-Auto turntable - no lapis

My turntable/wool+blockdispenser pottery occasionally produces vases as well. I've figured out by now that it seems to happen when I leave the world and return. It just screws up the timing. Fortunately the stuff it makes isn't fed into a kiln automatically, so I can just destroy the vase and recrea...

Re: Show us your builds!

"In der beschränkung zeigt sich erst der meister" So far my maps tend to progress in the following way: 1. Start world 2. Build some starter stuff 3. Build bigger stuff 4. Build even bigger stuff 5. Go "egad, that looks horrible" 6. Come to the conclusion that I can't be bothered...

Re: Show us your builds!

Graphite Love your windmill, finally a design that fits my eyes! Mind If I "copy" it to my world? By all means. Not like I hold any copyrights on that design. I just figured it'd fit my house better than some massive tower. That, and it does have that somewhat industrial look to it versus...

Fenced in a bunch of snowmen, then waited reeeeeeeeeally patiently for them to walk over every single block there. The ones up on the hill took ages as the bastards kept hopping back down again.

Re: Show us your builds!

http://www.bottledindigo.com/btw/deserthome.jpg This is my humble abode, conveniently located in a heavily-terraformed desert biome. Yay for not having to disengage my windmill whenever it rains ten blocks away. http://www.bottledindigo.com/btw/industry.jpg In my efforts to make it look nice, I end...

Re: Bloodwood cover

Unless you like your nether to be all rocky and desolate, there's no reason not to let them go mad. It's free wood (and as such tools, bowls etc) free cover, and look pretty sweet once they get going. Hmmm, you've got a point there. I always did hate the way the nether looked. In some ways it's a p...

Bloodwood cover

First of all, a hearty greeting to you all. I've been lurking around a bit for a few weeks, but ended up registering to help out with a bug report (hence this being my second post, not my first). On to the matter for which I'm posting this. I hate ghasts!... with a vengeance, even. I hate them more ...

Lens beam not resetting after interruption

In my efforts to build a sugarcane farm, I encountered a bug with the lens where, once it is interrupted, it seems to stay interrupted even after it should clear again. I simplified the set-up and it still reproduces. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here is the set-up in its bugged-out st...
