Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week Of March 18th)
When playing 1.5 I did experience at least a 10 fps increase when fiddling around in my world. I look forward to any additional changes you make with regards to optimisation.

Happy BTW day!
I'm sure I speak on behalf of everyone here on the forums when I say that your mod has significantly renewed my interest in what was a fairly limited game with regards to technical creations. It has and always will be one of the highest quality mods available!

Re: Possible change to stone recipes by Dinnerbone
It seems to me as more of an inconvenience than a feature that is actually adding to the gameplay, especially compared to some of FC's changes.

Re: Axes work on stone slabs
Another note on block breaking, shears are not effective against leaves; they are slow but are still able to harvest the block.

Axes work on stone slabs
Fairly self explanatory, woodcutting axes will destroy stone slabs quickly, despite not being able to get the item.

Re: Show us your builds!
Love that roof! Seriously. Could do with some partial-block love, but unfortunately cobble is one of the few exceptions now. One of the reasons I tend to use spruce wood for rooftops nowadays. I tend to use as few wood types as possible when building so that if I decide to replicate something in an...

Re: New Release! (BTW 4.65) [*** NO SPOILERS ***]
As someone that predominantly plays on peaceful, I've felt rather out of the loop with the mod for the last couple of months. If you want an easier play experience, lookup a seed that has a mushroom biome near the spawn point. Using seeds that I know the landscape of always felt like cheating a lit...

Re: 4.65 Balance Observations and Discussion (SPOILERS)
I'm not sure about the level of priority that player tracking has over passive mob tracking but it doesn't feel right that hostile mobs just draw a blind eye to you when some piggies are in sight. I feel as though it has been slightly counter productive with regards to making mobs harder to tackle. ...

Re: New Release! (BTW 4.65) [*** NO SPOILERS ***]
This question isn't really related to the latest release but it is relevant to the recent changes to the early game. Can you still get hemp seeds from hitting grass or do you need to use your hoe on the grass to get them?

Re: New Release! (BTW 4.65) [*** NO SPOILERS ***]
As someone that predominantly plays on peaceful, I've felt rather out of the loop with the mod for the last couple of months. I have always been somewhat restricted on what I can do without mob drops, relying on coming across temples and dungeons for things like bones in order to tame wolves. I deci...

Thanks, I'll see if I can correct it.
EDIT: Fixed it
EDIT 2: The BD contains a pressure plate and a solid block.
EDIT 3: Doesn't work, the torch powers the gear box :(

Re: Compact reloading wheat farm?
I don't know if I'm missing something but can't you just do this:
Just encase it wasn't clear, it is a detector block on the end of the piston.

I just watched Doc's updated video and it looks as though they made the fire charge obsolete.
Their attitude seems to be "What have we got that we can make easier?"

Wouldn't that push the planter with the plant on out the way? Or am I missing something...Magnavode wrote:Very nice build.
You can make it more compact by moving the piston up by 1 block and having it extend by putting a torch on the side of the detector block.

Re: Sharing useful builds that get the job done
Vertically tileable melon/pumpkin farm:
The redstone must be on a half slab otherwise the torch will power the block when tiled vertically.

Re: Carrot/Potato Farms? Any better solutions?
I was trying find out how many blocks you need in the BD to harvest and I ended up with 8 and then the redstone. However, I may have stumbled upon a bug, when harvesting the potato/carrot using this method, you only seem to yield 1 potato/carrot. Could you verify this before I submit it in the bug r...

Re: Carrot/Potato Farms? Any better solutions?
I managed to crunch it down by 4 more blocks,I just couldn't help myself. http://i.imgur.com/agDte.png The BD contains an amount of blocks equal to the amount of updates given by the crop and a repeater. The upturned half slab is used so as not to restrict the growth of the potato/carrot but can als...

Re: Carrot/Potato Farms? Any better solutions?
It could be, I'm not really the expert when it comes to the number of updates on things. It's just the number of updates it gives plus redstone.
