Re: A Message For The Community
I hope that you understand that when we discuss alternate play styles or addons, it comes from a place of devotion. I don't want to get into too much discussion today, as this is a bit of a day of rest, release, and hope, and I'd prefer to not get bogged down in the details. But on this point speci...

Re: A Message For The Community
Thank you guys. Your positivity and affection here means a lot to me. I put off opening this thread today out of trepidation as to what it might contain, but I'm glad that I did. We'll get all the details sorted in the days to come.

A Message For The Community
Hey everyone, Recent events which have resulted in a lot of rather painful conflict within the community have left me both sad, and also resolved to move forward on a number of ideas that I have been mulling over for awhile now. It's very obvious to me that some changes need to be made in my relatio...

Re: [V.4B0000003] BTW Speedrun - MilkBucket% & Oven%
This has come up before, but I'm really not keen on speed running becoming a thing guys as it'll inevitably popularize and promote exploits if it does. The community, and the dev team (as in me), are not large enough to sustain/fix that. I obviously can't stop you doing what you choose to elsewhere,...

Re: Issues with Mining Charges
Sorry, bad at expressing my thoughts correctly :) Glad you got what I meant in the end. No worries. I agree btw. At present explosives are just kinda safely tucked away at the end of the tech tree to prevent them causing balance issues while I was working on everything else. I was thinking myself d...

Re: Issues with Mining Charges
I'm just trying to find a reason why to use mining charges. As at the moment they feel too expensive to use for mining as like dynamite or powder kegs smooth stone will only drop stone items. I feel like that just the advantage of getting 100% ore drops from mining charges isn't enough for me to us...

Re: Strange interaction between nether portals and health/hunger status effects
Fixed for next release. It was actually a general problem with watched variables not being properly updated on the client upon dimension transfer, so the general fix I implemented may have additional benefits with regards to other data being transferred as well (vanilla potion particle effects and s...

Re: Chickens don't lay eggs if server is shut down at night.
Chickens laying eggs on the server's I've played on we're functioning very well. If no one is logged in, time goes on. If the next morning has passed while no one is online all chickens that have been fed will lay their egg the moment someone logs in. Even if thats a real life day later or somethin...

Yup, it looks like what you identified was correct and the bound respawn location was getting cleared whenever you returned from the end. Fixed for next release.

Re: Endermen can pick up logs under loose cobble slabs
This is actually not a bug. Enderman can steal logs from beneath just about anything. The slabs aren't an exception. What is important is the number of neighboring blocks. I'd wager that the logs in question were in an odd position, like say bordering on a gap in a wall (like a window or what have y...

I just did a quick check of the related code and everything seems in order. If someone else can verify this before I look into it further I'd be much obliged.

Re: Sugarcane can be placed underwater
Yeah, in this case it's more a mater of having eventual plans to update sugar cane to be more inline with the rest of Vegehenna. That would likely involve an entirely new block ID so as not to mess with existing builds, which is why I'd avoid making a change like this now. Won't fix for now, but wit...

Re: HCS weirdness post dragon
It's theoretically possible given the way the respawning algorithm works. Given the 20 minute delay between attempts though, and that it would likely take a number of attempts to get that result, I wouldn't worry about it, and just consider it a lucky break.
