Those doors and that bed have sealed the deal for me. I'm going back to this pack. :D

Re: Negating HC Spawn

That is a very nice map. I would like to negate hc spawn, but because I'm playing single player, my best bet is to just suck it up and build outposts when hc spawn is being a sphincter that day. I would love to have some of them roads, but in practice, I'll probably just build monuments and have pac...

Re: [Nether Spoilers] Soul Sand Piles Help

Thanks guys. I used the piles and found me a fortress! It's a ways off from my portal, but I got my blaze rod and am ready to progress to recyclable tools and armor. Also to note, the fortress I found doesn't seem to have netherwart. I'll have to come back with weapons to explore further, but yeah, ...

Does it move more than once, or do I have to keep my eyes on it immediately for the one time it does it?

Re: [Nether Spoilers] Soul Sand Piles Help

Thanks guys. I should have figured its use would be this straightforward.

Right now I'm strip mining at diamond level for more iron and will be setting up a desert base for the absence of storms.

[Nether Spoilers] Soul Sand Piles Help

I'm in single player and am getting tired of tunneling through the nether knowing that I'll never find a fortress unless I pop up to look around the surface. However, I discovered in the change logs that soul sand piles can be used to find fortresses. Some quick searching on the forums shows that fl...

Re: The Question Of Multiplayer in RTH

A good example of the single player vs multiplayer argument with regards to gameplay is Skyrim vs The Elder Scrolls Online. When I heard of ESO, I thought, "Skyrim, but with others!" It's not. Because it can't. Whenever I see someone say, "Yeah, mechanisms, larger chunks, more updates...

Re: Jesar's BTW Videos

I'm kinda obsessing over another voxel building game while in my rage quit period after dying to lava in the nether. There will be more, probably this weekend considering that it's been a while and I've calmed down a lot. Next vids will be starting at my hcs location between a desert and a jungle. S...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of July 22nd)

I played up going to the nether so much in my play through, and even built a skeleton spawner farm for arrows before I even attempted to search for a fortress. Once I killed the two ghasts that were at spawn, though, I got to trounce around like the nether was just a slightly more on fire version of...

Re: What iron tool would you make first?

I go pick -> another pick -> hoe -> sword -> shears -> cauldron -> more picks

also, i used to not be able to get by without dying, then i decided to keep at it and improved myself. now i've only died twice in my current world, and the second time i was basically asking for it.

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.891123)

I was excited to get home and check out the nether stuff, then remembered I have lost nether access for the time being. Now I have more reason than ever to get off my ass and get back to civilization! I predict the next release to be V4.8911235. I also predict that the final release will be 5.0 and ...

Re: X-Rebirth, You can walk where?

Damn, where was this game and KSP back when I was REALLY into space sims and shooters?! I want this game in me computer. So much depth and detail! It's more interesting than EVE online, in my opinion. It's easy to find a space game more interesting than EVE, because EVE actually isn't primarily a s...

I can't wait for the tweet "someone asked if there will be raves in minecraft, so here's today's screenshot."

Things like these make it easier to forget that minecraft is still being developed past 1.5.2.

Re: Jesar's BTW Videos

I could help you with your mic issues if you want. Signal-to-noise seems rather bad, so I'm assuming that you're using Windows to boost its volume, which is crap. Probably better ways to do it. What mic do you have? Headset? Model? I can highly recommend the Dicsong DM-10, which is less than $10 wi...

I got 28 and 29 up, and I have to say, I'm very much enjoying not having to eat melon anymore. I can't believe I went that long without making a chicken coup. I can't imagine how many arrows I've missed out on because of that.

Holy crap yes. This is exactly something I'd love to try out. I can't wait to get to anvil tech, and I'll definitely be installing this add on in the near future. I look forward to stumbling around at night cursing the very heavens themselves trying to figure out how to work this thing. :D

Re: Suggest Good Films

I generally assume that people have seen Star Wars but casinodoug taught me that it is wrong to do so. If you've not seen the films yet I recommend the Machete order for people new to it, Episodes 4, 5, 2, 3 then 6. The prequels are actually watchable if you see them as a sort of rose coloured glas...

Thanks for all the reccomendations guys! I certainly have enough here to work with (lol I don't know if I can watch all of these in a reasonable timespan), but if you guys can think of any more classic sci-fi movies that would be great. I love watching a broad range of things, but I have a giant sof...

Re: Jesar's BTW Videos

Episodes 26 & 27 are up. 26 is featured because 27 was rather boring by comparison. Rainy days ruin everything. Also of note, I've changed the name of the series from "A New World" to "Better Than Wolves" because the title got old. And so people who don't read descriptions kn...
