Re: Kerbal Space Program 1.0

Haha I have it categorized in steam as a Space Simulator lol. I've never liked genre naming, I prefer when games tell me how the game works, rather than just saying it's a RTS with RPG elements. seems pretty constraining when you compare your game to others. I haven't really messed with your mod muc...

Re: Kerbal Space Program 1.0

Well, going to have to disagree with you there kregoth, in a rather rare manner :) The above sounds absolutely terrible to me. Would have been even less interesting to me than what's currently in career mode. It's better than farming for science points :P I wanted to feel like I'm experimenting wit...

Re: Kerbal Space Program 1.0

I have owned and played this game sense the only thing you could find in space was the mun, and there was no tracking station or a solar map. But I still crashed on the Mun, which was extremely rewarding and made me want to play more. I still love this game, I just wish they did better job on the ca...

Re: RimWorld Alpha 9

I can agree that starting out is much tougher with BTSG, but been having a blast with it! Half the time I'm fighting gun wounds more than guns themselves (Which is great!). It makes the beginning feel much more like a group of people trying to survive after a crash landing. Looking forward to more :...

Re: RimWorld Alpha 9

The turrets are my biggest irk with the game currently too, has been for a while. In the beginning you really should be cowboys with guns, than after researching and gathering materials, you can be cowboys with lasers and turrets "Maybe!" I also think that building the ship needs some work...

HAHa Flowerchild, speaking of freezer rooms! Alpha 9e update: first 2 changes Reduced room temperature equalization rates. Room walls that are two or more cells thick now equalize temperature slower. Double up your walls! lol Here the rest of the changelog: Balanced sieges to be slightly weaker. Var...

Wow... That was dark... Incredibly. And I didn't even mention the additional option here of harvesting her organs individually and selling her off in bits if the slavers don't want to buy a slightly defective human in her entirety. If I went full dark side on it I believe I could even butcher the r...

Re: RimWorld Alpha 9

I've been playing RimWorld on what I assume to be the default settings (Cassandra on Challenging difficulty which I would assume is the default because all other settings are listed relative to it) Yes that is considered the Default difficulty, Cassandra Challenge. It's the mode that will let you e...

Re: RimWorld Alpha 9

I mentioned this game back when it was first announced, and it's worth a purchase. I do suggest picking this up for those hesitance, especially if you're a DF lover as its far more approachable, but just as packed with ripe stories to tell. The updates are pretty great, I haven't been disappointed w...

Rock Paper Shotgun barely mentions BTW!

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/10/24/minecraft-survival-mods/ I’ve steered clear of total conversions like Better Than Wolves. They do things with style, and if you’re after an authentic Middle Ages farmhand simulator then you’re set, but overhauls don’t play well with other mods. What I want ...

Re: Nighogg? BUY IT!

I figured I would explain a little bit of how fighting works, because your goal isn't fighting. It's a race, but it's still a fighting game. Once you kill your opponent, you need to race past him to get to the end of the level, doing whatever you can to bypass them. You always respawn, you never rea...

Nighogg? BUY IT!

It's been awhile since I played a game that I enjoyed this much. Nidhogg provides a fair and balanced system, but challenge's you while teaching you everything. The game seems hard as hell at first, because you'll be pushed back constantly and get frustrated, but you begin to pay attention, notice n...

Re: Has anyone else tried Rust?

The developer is Garry Newman (Garry's Mod) It's mostly the reason I am keeping my eye on this. But like Flowerchild said, the cheating I've seen is not something I want to deal with.

Re: Better Than Starting Manned (Flower's WIP KSP mod )

BTW: Anyone have any idea what they were possibly thinking with this "the main menu saves its state so that when you exit it to it, it's in the same place you left it" change? As far as I can tell, it's just a nuisance, in that when you quit to the menu, you have to back out a couple of l...

Re: Starbound Beta release (4th december)

There are several design falls in this game so far, it can change I get that.... but right now the game is not enjoyable. The problem with the current trend that the team is doing is that they are devaluing the gameplay of majority of their game. The Armor pen did 1 thing right, made you explore wor...

Recent patch notes: Anyone else pissed at this?

You can now turn 10 unrefined wood into coal in the furnace

I liked being stuck on a planet because i've used all my coal for Steel bars, damnit stop making it easy! whats the point of a planet if I never am going to be stuck there?

-snip- Look, man, it's just an opinion. Take it or leave it. If you want to wait for the reviews, then wait for them. No need to snap. I don't think (nor did I write) that the game is shit. It isn't. It's solid. It's just not what I was hoping for, and that was my error because Bernd was quite up f...
