Re: New Release! (BTW V4.55)
Oh man, this is all so frickin' cool. I've already spent the entire afternoon/night on my BTW world, but I know I'm going to still be playing it all weekend! I can already guess where the scrolls come from, but I have no idea about the other things. I guess I'll just have to see... Also, being able ...

-snip- Animals fighting back when you try to kill them. Think in a bunch of cubic cows trying to get you - this would be one more incentive for autofarm (avoiding mad cows trying to kill you), something that FC likes a lot. -snip- I actually wouldn't be surprised if this was it. It's a relatively s...

Re: Problems accessing the forum
I just thought I'd pop in to say that the last day or two, the forums seem to be loading faster again, at least for me. When this topic came up, it was the same for me as well, but now they seem to be going faster again. Has anybody else noticed a recent speed-up?

Oh man, this sounds really exciting. I can only assume that it is not a coincidence that obsidian beacons are added at the same time enderchests are reworked. I can't wait to play around with this!
Thanks for all the awesome, FC!

Also, I would like to point out that the MCF page for MCPatcher uses BTW as an example mod for its instructions on how to add mods, meaning there is a tutorial there for installing BTW with MCPatcher that you can pretty much follow step by step.

Try using sticky pistons, so that they are pushing a solid block against the hemp. This is what I'm using, and it works.

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of December 31st)
Ah, that was satisfying. Got most of the functionality I wanted in there for beacons today. The basic system is all setup and ready to go, and tomorrow I shall tackle the couple of "special powers" I have left that are planned for different beacon types. Anyways, good stuff. It's working ...

I saw this on Facebook, and it gave me a good laugh: A DEA officer stops at a ranch in Texas and talks with an old rancher. He tells the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs." The rancher says, "Okay, but do not go in that field over there," as he poin...

Re: Reasoning Behind Lack of Bloodwood Planks?
When Bloodwood was first introduced, different colors of planks didn't have unique names yet, and were all still called just planks (actually, when bloodwood was first introduced, I don't think different colors of planks had even been implemented yet, but that's unimportant :P ). Jungle wood planks ...

There's an option in a config file to change it IIRC. ...why it's defaulted to 'on' is beyond me though. Also, why there's a config file for the game, with options you can't access through the options menus is beyond me.[/quote] This is probably because it takes some work to add the button to the o...

Re: Possible Steam Linux graphical glitch
I have Gentoo dualbooted on my macbook pro, so I'm not using nvidia, but in Gentoo I played around in Minecraft with BTW for a few minutes with the Linux Steam client running in the background without any of the graphical glitches you described, so it may very well be the nvidia drivers. I do have a...

Re: Better than Wolves and Smart Moving
If I remember correctly from previous discussion about this mod in relation to BTW, using this mod on top of BTW will undo the changes made to SFS armor that make you sink in water while wearing it, and I think some other related things. Also, I think it might mess with rope climbing, but I'm not su...

Re: BTW Sounds
Well, 1 GB is 1024 MB, and once you know this, doing the math from there is pretty simple. 0.5 GB would be 512 MB, so 1.5 GB would be 1024 + 512 = 1536 MB.cory1234567 wrote:ok thanks ill have a look at the suggestions hopefully one of them works for me what would 1.5GBs be in MB?

Awesome, thanks! I'll probably delay doing it for a few weeks until the "final" release of BTW comes out, after which no new blocks will probably be added, to avoid doing it multiple times :) I don't mean to be to greedy in asking for help, but do you happen to know if it would be possibl...

Where have I heard that before? :) Yeah, I kind of realized as I was posting it that I had already heard the same opinion from you, but the screenshot with a book as an input to an anvil just struck me as to how odd it was. Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of November 27th)
I've read through this thread, and I have to say that I agree that option 2 would be the most desirable from a purely gameplay point of view, but that the sequel option seems to be the next best thing, since it is simpler codeside. The only real issue people seem to be having (and, I admit, that I t...

Well, the error log you supplied said it couldn't find BaseMod, which is part of ModLoader, so I would assume ModLoader wasn't installed correctly. Just in case you run into this error again.johnt wrote: Don't know what the problem was.
